iPhone users have been blown away by a hidden trackpad feature that is becoming a total ‘game changer’ for Apple fans.
If you have ever found yourself fed up with the lack of trackpad on the iPhone, then you’re in luck.
This is because there is a hidden feature that allows you to activate a touchpad on your Apple device.
People are only just discovering the hidden function after someone shared their own woes about their phone’s keyboard on social media.

In a post on Reddit, the user wrote: “I just made the switch from android and overall I’m loving my new iPhone. One major issue though is the awful awful keyboard. On my Android, I could access the numbers and a ton of special characters on the front, without having to move to a special numbers and characters section then move back to letters.
“It makes writing long messages or comments so annoying, like when I just want to use a comma or exclamation point! Are there options for me?”
Other users took to the comment section to share their own thoughts on the options that Apple has to offer, with some revealing a secret feature that many people were unaware of.
One user shared how to access the trackpad, writing: “Long-press space bar for trackpad mode. While in trackpad mode, tap the keyboard with a second finger to select text.”

Another commented that their ‘life is changed forever’ after discovering the feature and a third user added that they ‘love it’.
One user went as far as to call it a ‘game changer’.
However, not everyone was as impressed, with one person complaining about one particular issue they had noticed.

They said: “If you accidentally lift your finger while trackpad-ing and press the spacebar again, you’ve deleted all of what you wrote, instantly. The keyboard alone is enough to push me back to android and it’s only been two weeks on this phone. It’s also too slow to keep up with the speed at which I text.”
So, if you want to try out the feature for yourself then all you need to do is open the Notes app and hold down the spacebar.
From there, the keys on the keyboard will go blank and you will be able to drag your thumb around the screen to move the cursor.
Now, you’ll be able to put the cursor wherever you want on the screen and delete or type anything as needed.
