The rumor mill never slows down where Apple's newest iPhones concerned, and things are in overdrive right now - long ahead of the next model's launch later this year.
New 3D renders obtained by Indian gadget news site 91mobiles show a very interesting new feature that could be present on the iPhone 16 Pro.
Given that the Pro lineup no longer has exclusivity on the Dynamic Island selfie cut-out, it's logical that Apple might be looking for a way to make it stand out from the standard iPhone 16.
This could be in the form of a new button on the side of the phone, below the power button on the right-hand side.

91mobiles says this is likely to be a capture button, which could be touch-sensitive and able to control a wide range of functions, in particular unlocking easier photography. It could reportedly be able to adjust focus and zoom levels, as well as being used as a trigger for taking photos or starting videos.
This is really exciting for anyone who uses their phone as their main photography device (which is to say, most of us), since it'll streamline the process of taking photos without needing to do a load of tapping on-screen.
You can control some of these functions with the volume keys, of course, but it'll be pretty useful to have a dedicated touch-sensitive button - and we wouldn't be surprised if the button has useful integrations in other apps, too.
The renders are pretty comprehensive, although with around six months to go before Apple unveils the next lineup of iPhone models, there's no guarantee they're entirely accurate.

Still, they seem to confirm that the iPhone 16 Pro will look a lot like its predecessor, aside from that new button on its side. The camera bump on the back of the phone is identically proportioned, for one.
This doesn't rule out internal changes that upgrade its sensors or lenses, though - the iPhone Pro often gets whatever innovation Apple snuck into the Pro Max the previous year, so there could be an enhanced zoom lens.
The phone will be almost the exact same size overall, but once again it looks like Apple will manage to shrink down its bezels (the black borders around the screen), which will let the display jump from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches. That wouldn't be a huge change, but it's still welcome.

Once again, titanium is expected to be the main material for the phone's frame, but the report from 91mobiles suggests there will be a new lineup of color options to pick from, just like every year.
The only bad news? We'll have to wait quite some time to get confirmation of any of this - Apple will likely stay tight-lipped until the official launch.
