Huge upcoming Apple update could soon fix your terrible iPhone battery life

Huge upcoming Apple update could soon fix your terrible iPhone battery life

This will be a game-changer.

There are a lot of exciting new features coming for iPhone users this year.

Apple announced that iOS 18 is set to drop this fall and will include upgrades such as Apple Intelligence as well as call recording and home screen customization, where users can move widgets around freely.

But that isn’t the only change set for the tech giant this year, after rumors have started to circulate that the iPhone 16 range will be released this September.

Of course, new functions and additions to the smartphone are always welcomed but they tend to result in a shorter battery life as a result.

Longer battery lifespan is something many iPhone users have been crying out for for years and some good news could finally be on its way.

According to reports, the new iPhone may have a battery that lasts 10% longer, meaning more usage and less time spent charging the device.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo took to X, formerly Twitter, to say that: “The EU regulates that by 2027, all smartphones must be equipped with replaceable batteries.

“The new iPhone’s adoption of a stainless steel battery case not only reduces the difficulty of removing the battery to meet EU regulations but also allows Apple to increase the battery cell density by 5-10% while meeting safety requirements, achieving two goals at once.”

This will be music to many people’s ears after some have taken to trying hacks and removing features in order to prolong their battery life.

One tech expert even shared some pearls of wisdom as to how he managed to almost double his iPhone battery life.

Other Apple announcements include the introduction of AI that promises to completely change the way we use our phones, with Siri becoming the ultimate pocket-sized assistant.

Speaking about the changes Apple's software chief Craig Federighi said: "This is AI for the rest of us. Personal intelligence you can rely on at work, home and everywhere in between.

"This is the beginning of an exciting new chapter of personal intelligence. Intelligence built for your most personal products: your iPhone, iPad and Mac.

"Intelligence grounded in the things that make you, you and intelligence available to you system-wide so that you can get things down in a way that works for you. We are just getting started and I hope you are as excited as I am for the road ahead."

But don’t panic - Apple is promising that privacy will be paramount and most functions won’t be done through external servers.
