The Apple Event is the talk of the week with new colour ranges for the highly anticipated iPhone 16 and incredible health tech features for the upcoming AirPods release.
But the spotlight also fell on Apple’s other product launch: the Apple Watch Series 10 at yesterday's "It's Glowtime."
Apple's 9 September event was especially important this year as it marked the 10th anniversary of the announcement of the first Apple Watch.

To celebrate, instead of the Apple Watch X, Apple revealed the Apple Watch Series 10. And it offers a huge display that's larger than the one found on the Apple Watch Ultra and 30% larger than the previous Series 9.
The new wide-angle OLED screen is a first for Apple, and it brings more accessibility features like more lines of text and larger fonts.
It’s also 40% brighter, making it easier to see at a glance, and designed to be more power-efficient.

Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer said: “Apple Watch Series 10 builds on a decade of breakthrough innovations to offer the most advanced version yet, with even more intelligence, our biggest wearable display, and a design that’s slimmer and sleeker than ever.”
But it's coming with one feature that's infuriating fans.
At the Glowtime Apple event 2024, the tech giant announced that the new Watch will have redesigned built-in speakers.
This means the new Apple Watch Series 10 can now play music and podcasts out loud directly from streaming services like Apple Music, even if you don’t have your phone or AirPods with you.

While it's not the first model to have built-in speakers, this is the first generation that can play music directly from music streaming services without needing an external device.
However, tech experts speculate that the fairly small Apple Watch speakers won't come close to matching the performance of the best earbuds out there.
Why you would prefer to play music from your watch than any other device you have on you, I don't know. But public transport might just get that little bit more annoying when this rolls out.

"People playing music out loud from their watch on the train incoming," one Reddit user joked.
"Don't.... don't play stuff on your watch," one plainly stated whilst another replied: "can’t wait for buses to get more annoying."
"Cant wait to p**s everyone off doing that on the bus," another social media user chimed in and "Great now more tools blasting music while on hiking trails instead of using earbuds or headphones."
