The iPhone 16 has yet to hit the market but already there's rumors about the unannounced iPhone 17.
Reports are circulating the internet that Apple's iPhone 17 Plus may have a smaller screen.
Ross Young, a well-known analyst in the Apple market, posted on X that the iPhone 17 Plus will likely come with a smaller screen than the 6.7-inch display, which is seen on the current gen, iPhone 15 Plus.

The 2025 iPhone range is expected to break away from the trend of increasing screen sizes, following the debut of the iPhone 16 series.
I mean, handheld smartphones are becoming less pocket-friendly and trespassing into tablet territory so this might be a good idea from Apple.
In the past, the Cali-based tech company has kept the screen sizes of its Plus and Pro Max models consistent, as seen with the 6.7-inch displays of both the iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 15 Plus, which matched their Pro Max counterparts.

It's not yet clear why the tech giant might choose a smaller display for the iPhone 17 Plus, but MacRumors suggests that varying the screen sizes could help distinguish the Plus models from the more expensive Pro Max versions.
Though there won't be much surprise if it does. The company has always seemed to expand the screen size of its handheld devices each year, starting with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in 2014.
Nevertheless, the rumours of the future smartphone models are a source of unnecessary news rather than excitement, according to some tech fans.
