Shocking photos of completely wrecked Tesla Cybertruck after crash prove ‘just how safe’ the vehicle is

The vehicle took a serious hit

There's a large divide when it comes to Tesla vehicles. Some swear by them and others can't imagine driving anything worse.

But one recent post showed the damage done to a Tesla Cybertruck after a major crash and people are in disbelief.

LilHumansBigImpact shared the monstrosity of damage done to a Cybertruck that still somehow managed to keep everyone in it safe and sound.

The user posted on X: "Wow, I have no idea what the person driving this Cybertruck in Mexico was doing, but whoa, this crash is insane.

"Everyone in the Cybertruck survived! If this doesn’t prove how safe Teslas are, then I don’t know what does."

The viral post caught a lot of attention, racking up over 90 million views in just a few days.

The horrific crash reportedly happened in the early hours of November 2 in Guadalajara, Mexico.

While details about how the accident happened are still scarce, the post has caught a lot of attention from one of the few incidents in Mexico involving Tesla's pickup truck.

Moreover, the damage to the vehicle was so severe that even Tesla engineers couldn't understand what happened.

Surprisingly, Wes Morrill, Tesla Cybertruck lead engineer, admitted that he couldn’t make sense of the crash dynamics, despite his extensive experience with crash simulations and tests.

He replied to the original post: "Glad to hear everyone in the vehicle is okay, that is goal #1.

Can usually make an educated guess about the crash event from the photos, having seen the results of every simulation and test.

"Drawing a blank on this one... Will be interested to hear the details as authorities release more information".

Most cars have crumple zones designed to absorb the energy of an impact. If a car is too rigid, that energy is passed to the rest of the vehicle and its occupants, which isn’t safe. The larger the crumple zone and the heavier the car, the better the protection so to speak.

The Cybertruck's design is meant to break apart upon impact to absorb and disperse energy, keeping its passengers safe.

Users have been quick to show their shock at the scene.

"OMG, that's nuts! I'm glad everyone is okay, but you've got to wonder what they were doing to cause that kind of damage!" the first user replied.

"Incredible! That crash looked wild, but everyone walked away safely—huge testament to Tesla’s safety engineering," another user commented.

Some die-hard Tesla fans declaring their loyalty saying: "I would never put my family in anything else but a Tesla."

A few wondered how the battery didn't 'explode' or how all '4 wheels came off.'

Others were less impressed at the impact, writing: "That’s actually not impressive at all".
