The eyes of the world are on America, with an escalating situation in the Middle East between Iran and Israel leaving everyone questioning whether we're on the cusp of World War III.

AI has already predicted how the Iran-Israel conflict could trigger WWIII, while one of Vladimir Putin's generals claims we're already in the midst of the next global war without even knowing it.

Millions would likely be drafted into service, although at the time of writing, President Donald Trump hasn't confirmed whether the USA will join Israel’s strikes on Iran. There's a reason the Doomsday Clock is closer to midnight than ever before in 2025, and sure not to help matters, the President's 'Doomsday Plane' has been spotted making some unusual moves.

The Boeing E-4B 'Nightwatch' is more commonly known as the 'Doomsday Plane', stationed near the POTUS in case he has to abandon Air Force One or the standard presidential plane is rendered unusable. Serving as the National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC), the Doomsday Plane is an integral part of the National Military Command System for the President, the Secretary of Defense, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

There are four E-4s currently in operation, with the first being delivered in 1973.

Boasting a glass cockpit, the ability to survive an EMP, and reports that it can remain airborne for a week, the Doomsday Plane can also operate with a crew of up to 112. At least one E-4B is kept on 'alert' at all times, meaning it's manned 24 hours a day by staff.

This comes at quite the cost, with the Doomsday Plane costing $200,000 an hour to run.

Although this isn't the first unexpected flight, there has been some unusual activity with the Doomsday Plane. Avid aviation fans have noted how it flew from Louisiana to Maryland as the situation in the Middle East rumbles on.

One of the E-4Bs took off from Bossier City at 5:56pm ET, went along the coast, and looped around the border of Virginia and North Carolina before it landed at Joint Base Andrews at 10:01pm.

Even though Doomsday Planes are known to fly in training exercises and practice runs, the flight path is said to be unexpected and erratic. Added to this, there was a new call sign of ORDER01 instead of the typical ORDER6.

The last known presidential use of the Doomsday Plane was by George W. Bush in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks in 2001, but if World War III gets anywhere near as deadly as predicted, President Trump could be taking to the air in this mobile command center.

There's no confirmation about what the Doomsday Plane's recent flight was for, or whether Trump stepped foot on it. Still, the President left Canada's G7 summit amid claims from France's President Emmanuel Macron that he was working on a ceasefire - something Trump has denied.

With nuclear warfare being a real possibility in the next global conflict, it's a good thing the Doomsday Plane can supposedly survive a nuclear blast.
