Planes can seem tiny as they fly high in the sky, but they look totally different on the ground.
Footage has surfaced on Reddit showing a partially disassembled F-15 Eagle fighter jet being transported down a highway.
The OP u/PrismPhoneService captioned: 'It astonishes me how much large they are when perspective is given. The F-15 was more like a rocket with a cockpit & a few missiles ducktape to it.. its thrust-to-weight ratio, power and design was so well-engineered that a pilot who lost an entire wing had the thrust to make it back and and safely land.. a feat that would be a guaranteed loss of lift and crash for any other jet.'

They added: 'The only oversized-loads more ‘merican than this one is an ICBM trailer or the space-shuttle.'
An overtaking vehicle filmed the less than 10-second clip of the truck with 'oversize load' written on the rear.
Although, this jet didn't appear to have its wings attached probably as this would've caused a severe obstruction on the road.
People couldn't figure out whether the jet was being taken to the scrapyard or not but they were shocked at the sheer size of the fighter vehicle.

'Those things are huge,' the first user replied.
'First time I saw a jet up close I thought the same thing. I mean, it’s a plane. Of course it’s large. But I kinda always figured they were like… large car sized. Not semi truck sized,' one user commented in response.
'Ya! WAY bigger than I thought!' another exclaimed.

Some were worried about the plane's height passing under the bridge: 'Glad it made it under that bridge. Seemed a little too close for comfort.'
Others found it a grand opportunity to point reference to Top Gun by writing: 'Is that the highway to the danger zone?'
