Tesla's futuristic Cybertrucks are finally out in the world, and orders seem to be piling up.
"Finally the future will look like the future," is how Tesla CEO Elon Musk has described the pickup - but driving around in the future won't come cheap.
While it's unclear how long it'll actually take between buying a Cybertruck and actually getting the vehicle - some reports suggest early 2024, while less generous estimations go up as high as five years - orders still seem to be rushing in for the angular electric truck.

One Reddit user has posted the receipt for his Cybertruck, and people can't get over how much they've paid.
In total, Reddit user UTECHPIA reports that he's paid an eye-watering amount for his model - a grand total of $122,135 (£97,345).

UTECHPIA wrote in a post: "WILL IT ARRIVE in 2023? What do you guys think?
"I'm so excited, I got the email invite to put in my order on Fri, Dec 8, 7:30 PM PT, and placed my order within 5 minutes!"
They're obviously a Tesla fan, and said they already own a 2023 Tesla MYP - which stands for the Model Y Performance, the super-fast SUV.

The receipt indicates that the Reddit user has bought the Cyberbeast - the top-line model - for $99,990 (£79,690), as well as paying an extra $20,000 (£16,000) to secure one of the foundation series, which means they'll get one of the first 1,000 Cybertrucks.
And that's not even the full bill - UTECHPIA said in the comments that with taxes and fees, the total came to $136,814.01 (£108,993).
And people really can't believe that price tag.
"I really want to do this, but then I would be cyberhomeless," one Redditor joked, while another said: "Want one, but that price tag."

Another comment read: "I didn’t think anyone was going to buy it with the massive price hikes and feature reductions. I guess I was wrong."
Lots of people had questions, namely: how on Earth could someone afford this?
UTECHPIA said he sacrificed "other things in life to make funds for this. I have been planning this for 4 years", while adding that he works for a tech company full-time as well as having "a few side hustles".

It's admittedly been a pretty turbulent path for Tesla to get the Cybertruck to market.
On November 30 the first customers finally received their pickups - but despite a suitably extra ceremony outside the Tesla factory in Austin, Texas, only around a dozen cybertrucks were actually delivered.
The project is running around two years behind schedule, and uncertainty still remains over the future of large-scale production.
But the hype around the pickup is still huge. According to Tesla, the Cybertruck is "faster than a sports car" - it can go from zero to 60 miles per hour in 2.6 seconds - and has an "ultra-hard stainless steel exoskeleton" paired with "shatter-resistant Armor Glass" which can apparently resist the impact of a baseball at 70 mph.
