People are getting a bit antsy about the new Tesla Cybertruck. There's some fuss about when the first buyers will actually get their hands on these trucks.
On the other side, authorities have expressed scepticism about Elon Musk's confidence in the safety of Cybertrucks for both drivers and others on the road.
The rumours about the safety and collision impact of the Cybertruck have been answered with real-life images.

One Reddit post shared new photos on the extent of damage to the Cybertruck in its first-ever vehicle collision.
Now, it's not the mass of crumpled metal you might be imagining - at least not in the case of the Cybertruck.
The post on Reddit captioned: 'Head on today on CA-17' shows the Cybertruck almost completely unscathed from the collision.

The incident, which occurred on Skyline Boulevard in Palo Alto, saw the Cybertruck involved in a two-vehicle accident with a 2009 Toyota Corolla.
A statement by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) noted:
'Our preliminary investigation indicates a Toyota Corolla was traveling south on SR-35 southbound, south of Page Mill Road, at an unknown speed, when the driver, for unknown reasons, turned to the right and subsequently struck a dirt embankment on the right shoulder.
'The Toyota then re-entered the roadway, crossed over the double yellow lines into the northbound lane, and crashed into a Tesla Cybertruck traveling north on SR-35 northbound.'

Allegedly, only the left side of the Cybertruck took the bulk of the damage, including the driver's door and the front bumper above the wheel, which you can see from the photo above. The vehicle seems to absorbed most of the with its steel exterior.
However, the other vehicle wasn't so lucky. The second image on the post shows the bumper of the Corolla quite frighteningly obliterated.
The CHP reports from the incident stated that the Tesla driver 'sustained a suspected minor injury and declined medical transportation.' No other injuries were reported, including the driver of the Corolla's.

They also reported that the Cybertruck was not being operated in autonomous mode which means that the controversial Autopilot feature did not contribute to the collision.
One viewer said more pictures would reveal the full impact of the collision: 'It looks like it would have been driver side corners colliding. We need to see the other side of the cyber truck.'
Another pointed out: 'Wow significant accident, hope everyone is ok.'
Though this was a lucky escape for both drivers involved, safety concerns about the vehicles are continuously rising.

The European Transport Safety Council previously has not been shy to voice its concerns about the potential lethality of the beast-size Tesla vehicle, especially involving pedestrians and cyclists.
