YouTuber and Kick streamer Jack Doherty has left the internet still reeling after live-streaming a car crash for the whole world to see.
The 20-year-old broadcast himself and a friend crashing a $200,000 McLaren sports car on Kick. During the live-stream, which took place on October 5, the content creator can be seen driving down a rainy highway in Miami, Florida.

While live to more than 185,000 viewers, after being seen using his phone behind the wheel, the streamer seemingly lost control of the flashy sports vehicle and crashed into a metal barrier.
The incident shocked viewers, both on the now-deleted Kick stream and throughout social media. However, it was Doherty’s strange reaction after the crash which left online onlookers foaming at the mouth.
Instead of immediately ensuring the wellbeing of his friend and fellow crash victim Michael, Doherty continued to stream the aftermath to his viewers.

To make matters worse, the streamer was seen handing a camera to his friend asking him to ‘film with this phone too’, despite his injuries.
With the incident and Doherty’s handling of its aftermath public, it should come as no surprise that both viewers and those on social media heavily criticised the steamer's actions after the crash.
Multiple X (formerly Twitter) users stated the content creator should ‘be in jail’ for his actions. Notably, as it appears as though the streamer is using his phone behind the wheel, as shown at the beginning of the clipped video.

One X user stated: "Hope you got to jail speeding in the rain on your phone" in reply to a clip of the incident shared by Doherty himself.
Meanwhile, another user commented: "Texting while driving. You should be in jail. I hope your friend gets out of his NDA and sues you."
Florida, where the incident allegedly took place, has a ban on texting while driving.

As stated by Shaked Law, drivers in the Sunshine State are prohibited from ‘entering multiple numbers, letters or symbols’ into a phone, or wireless communications device, while driving.
It was also raining in the footage, which as any driver will know means you have to take extra precautions on the road, regardless of what State you’re in.
On October 6, Doherty took to his X account to reply to criticisms about the incident. While a ‘more detailed response’ is planned for later, the streamer shared that he was ‘grateful’ that Michael and himself were still alive.
"Thank you to all the first responders and everyone who helped us get out of the car," he said. "This could’ve been so much worse and it’s still a huge learning lesson."
While this is the only response to the crash Doherty has posted, it comes after multiple clips were shared to his official X profile.

These include sharing other X users’ footage of the crash and sharing footage of his friend Michael receiving stitches.
Some of these clips even include Doherty sharing links to all his other social pages, beneath the graphic clips.
