Elon Musk has leaked DMs with a huge Twitch streamer following a gaming controversy.

Twitch streaming star Asmongold was unfollowed by Musk after questioning his gaming skill levels.

The tech mogul has been accused of account sharing in the game Path of Exile 2 in order to boost up his level.

One of the high-profile players that have questioned Musk’s level is Asmongold who was being followed by the Tesla boss on X, formerly Twitter up until yesterday (January 15).

Now, Musk has taken to his own social media platform to apparently ‘expose’ the streamer.

In a tweet posted by the world’s richest man, it read: “Asmon behaves like a maverick ‘independent’, but in reality has to ask his boss for permission before he can do anything. He is not his own man.”

In a follow-up tweet, Musk shared a screenshot of a conversation he’d had with the Twitch star.

In the conversation, Asmon said: “I’m gonna see if my editors might want to make a second account for it even.”

Musk replied with: “Sure. Who are these mysterious editors?”

To which the streamer shared his editors’ X handles, adding that they ‘bascially run the entire YouTube account lol. So basically any content I post is edited and uploaded by them and they just get a cut of the ad rev, it’s a super good system tbh almost everyone on YT does it’.

In response, Musk wrote: “Interesting”.

After sharing the screenshot, a community note was added to it, revealing that Musk had gone against his own platform’s terms of service.

It read: “According to X’s policies, sharing someone else’s private messages without their express authorization and permission is generally against the platform’s Terms of Service (ToS).”

Many people were shocked by Musk’s jab at the streamer, with many taking to social media themselves to share their thoughts on the matter.

On Reddit, one user wrote: “Billionaire manchild tries to ‘gotcha’ a millionaire degen youtuber, after being called out for not playing games himself and bruising his ego, not understanding the dynamic of editors and content creators.

“I think there is a glitch in the simulation, it's getting ridiculous.”

Another said: “What exactly did he leak..? Am I missing something does Elon think people think Asmongold edits and uploads his own YT videos or where is the exposing happening?”

And a third person added: “Bro thinks Asmon hiring some editors to do his youtube channel means he is controlled by a secret shadow organization.”
