It's quite a daring move to label a show as 'the greatest show ever.'
However, the statistics don't lie - especially when Rotten Tomatoes grants the TV series an almost-perfect score.
Sam Esmail, the director recently associated with Leave the World Behind first gained recognition for directing the show Mr. Robot.

The psychological thriller, premiered in 2015, follows Elliot Alderson, a highly intelligent yet unstable cybersecurity engineer who becomes a vigilante hacker by night.
Alderson is played by Rami Malek - popularly known for portraying Freddie Mercury in 2018's Bohemian Rhapsody.
Though the series boomed on Amazon Prime upon its release, not many people have heard of the show.

The total of four seasons scooped a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer, with an audience score of 93%.
One fan then boldly declared the show as 'better than Breaking Bad'.
The post on X read: 'Just finished rewatching MR ROBOT cuz this might be the greatest show ever created on this fkin planet cuz I wanna rewatch it over again & again man it’s even better than Breaking Bad, Sam Esmail and Rami Malek just take a bow. What geniuses. Fkin nailed it. Whaaaata masterpiece.'
Following such a bold claim, fans of both shows are trying to argue which TV show deserves the crown.

One Redditor argued that Breaking Bad appeals to 'broader demographics' achieving both a mainstream and 'cult favourite' status. Whereas Mr. Robot's 'heavy tech component alienated millions of less tech minded viewers.'
Other fans were quick to passionately defend the high place of Breaking Bad saying: 'Breaking Bad by miles. Best show ever.'
Meanwhile, Mr. Robot fans insisted: 'Mr Robot is one of the best things I’ve ever seen.'

The fans went on to claim that the 'rewatch is better', stating: 'Rewatching Mr. Robot while knowing where it goes recontextualises everything and there are several “OOOOOOHHH” moments.'
Another viewer agreed saying: 'After each rewatch of BB, it gets lower and lower in my rankings. After each rewatch of Mr. Robot, it gets higher and higher in my rankings.'
One viewer tried to diffuse the debate, noting: 'don't compare, just watch it [Mr Robot]' whilst another neutrally said: 'They’re two different types of shows. I don’t think you can say one is better. Just depends on what kind of story interests you more.'
It appears there's little middle ground with the Esmail hit, you'll either bury yourself in it and rewatch it multiple times, or turn back to telling people how good Breaking Bad is.
