Eating is something that we all have to do to survive, but you'd be shocked to find out that there's a right and wrong way to go about it — and that doesn't even take into consideration the food that you're shoving in your mouth.
Unfortunately that appears to have been the case for one massive YouTuber, who realized a bit too late on in life that he was eating 'incorrectly' and it has continued to plague him over the years.
This has culminated once again in another hospital trip, as a cryptic Instagram caption has led fans to speculate around the circumstances of his hospitalization, but it likely all links back to the simple fact of not chewing food enough.
Which YouTuber has been hospitalized?
While he has managed to earn nearly 38 million subscribers and 22.7 billion views on YouTube in the 13 years that he's been on the video sharing platform, Mark "Markiplier" Fischbach has continued to be plagued by an issue that simply boils down to not eating his food correctly.
He is known to have frequently required hospital visits over the last half decade, to the point where many in his fanbase have started to joke about how long it will take into each year for him to need medical attention once again.

The latest version of this occurred over the weekend, as Markiplier shared a new photo on his Instagram that saw him giving a thumbs up from a hospital bed, alongside the caption: "Chew your food boys and goils."
Many people have offered their support in the comments of the post, with others predictably joking about the frequency of his visits. "Damn it Mark. Not again (get well soon lmao)," wrote one comment, with another adding "again, Mark and his yearly hospital visits."
How does Markiplier eat 'incorrectly'?
While he hasn't explicitly confirmed the reason for this recent visit, the caption of the Instagram post makes it clear that this is probably another flare up of Fischbach's recurring bowel obstructions that have been caused by scar tissue from previous abdominal surgeries, as per Times Now News.

This first cropped up before he had started his YouTube channel, but came to light in late 2020 when he was required to stay overnight in hospital after experiencing "intense abdominal pain."
It all seems to be linked to the fact that he was eating 'incorrectly' for large periods of his life, which presumably boils down to not chewing his food enough before swallowing it.

He has explicitly shared that he only learned how to chew food 'properly' in 2021 at the age of 32, as he states in a clip:
"I swear I learned how to chew three weeks ago. Literally I am not exaggerating, I was looking up some stuff about eating and it said like 'savor the food that you eat' and I was like 'OK, I'll savor the food that I eat', and I don't usually do that," he explained.
"I've known that I don't usually do that, but I thought I chewed things, I really did. I thought I tasted food, I really did. Turns out, I was completely wrong. For my entire life, I have been consuming food incorrectly."
While he has almost definitely been eating food 'correctly' since learning about his issues back in 2021, the health problems that he continues to experience have already done enough damage that can't easily be reversed, and learning to chew properly has only preventing things from getting even worse over the years.
