The former ‘King of YouTube’ mocked MrBeast in a recent video over his ‘bad advice’ for new YouTubers.

PewDiePie, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, once held the title of having the most subscribed YouTube channel on the platform.

Now, MrBeast has that crown with over 318 million subscribers.

MrBeast - real name Jimmy Donaldson - is known to dish out advice on how to ‘grind’ in order achieve success on the site.

In the video, PewDiePie watches a clip of MrBeast giving his followers advice, saying: “You're thinking in the scale of 10 years, like if you literally are grinding and you're obsessed and you're just every day studying and learning, you surround yourself with smart people and you just work like hell, to be honest, for 10 years, like there's probably a good chance you'll make it.”

Reacting to the advice, PewDiePie laughs and seems to mock the YouTuber by remarking: “I don't know, it's kind of a big commitment.”

He goes on to say: “Imagine like you're on nine years, still no no one gives a s*** about your channel and you're like, ‘one more year, here we go, one more, one more year, here we go’.”

To which his co-host Ken replies with: “But MrBeast told me I got to innovate and I got to be intelligent. Oh my life has passed before me, I'm going to die.”

PewDiePie jumps back in to add: “So close, I'm so close, one more year.”

Viewers took to the YouTube comment section to react to what seemed like a diss by the creator.

Sharing their own thoughts, one user wrote: “Imagine your childhood idol putting you as a controversial thumbnail cause you just f***ed up so bad.”

Another person said: “It feels sad when MrBeast surpassed PewDiePie actually.”

And a third added: “‘It takes 10 years to build an overnight success’ is so real on YouTube.”

Sharing some of his own advice from his 14 years on the platform, PewDiePie said: “I feel like I was kind of lucky, I don't know how it was for you, but like I had momentum that kind of set its way through. One thing happened and then another thing happens and I think if you don't have those steps like there's no way you're going to keep going.”

He went on to add: “I mean, I took a step back and you can tell what a difference that makes on the channel. It's like you have to cuz when I was in it, I was always just trying to find the next thing… There's no time for anything.”
