MrBeast has broken his silence over the ‘mold’ that was found in Lunchly products.
In a joint venture with Logan Paul and KSI’s Prime, Lunchly was initially dubbed as being a competitor to Lunchables.
Each box comes with a bottle of Prime, a bar of MrBeast’s Feastables chocolate and three varieties of food, including turkey with cheese and crackers, nachos with salsa, and pizza.
However, controversy was sparked when fellow YouTuber Rosanna Pansino opened a Lunchly box on camera and was shocked to find that the cheese was moldy.

Now MrBeast - whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson - has spoken out about the incident.
He sat down with fellow YouTuber Oompaville in a tell-all interview where he addressed a lot of the allegations that have been circling him recently.
Speaking about Lunchly, Donaldson said: “Here's the thing, every single Lunchly cheese, meat is USDA inspected, there is no mold when it leaves our factory.
“We have the highest QC standards imaginable, why would we ship that out like that? That doesn't even make sense, you know what I mean, we obviously have the best experts in the world.”

Donaldson went on to add: “There are variables that we just can't control.”
Speaking about the quality control standards of his products, the YouTuber continued: “I have educated myself in it a lot since having my own food company like we manufacture here in this town - ‘oh can I see it before I leave?’. ‘Yeah, you can’. That's super important to me.”
Donaldson addressed several other allegations during his interview with Oompaville.

One serious accusation was that he was using child slave labor to source the cocoa for his chocolate brand Feastables.
The YouTuber hit back at those claims, adding: “I've visited the farms, I personally put over a thousand hours of my own time into this.
“So, the majority of the world's cocoa comes from west Africa. Feastables, early on, we sourced from Peru, which Peru doesn't have ethical problems.
“But after we started getting bigger, all roads lead to you having to source from west Africa because that's just where most of the world's cocoa is grown.”

The YouTuber said that he got in touch with Tony’s Chocolonely, who are the gold standard when it comes to ethical cocoa sourcing.
Donaldson continued: “We actually formed a joint partnership through Tony's Open Chain with Feastables when we were moving over there and this has been a thing well before the controversy, before anyone says, ‘oh it’s only because of controversy’.”
