Did you even go to McDonald's if you asked for a McFlurry to be told the ice cream machine is down?
The ice cream machine that was broken last time - and the time before that - has STILL not been fixed. Is it actually broken, or being cleaned?
What if I told you that you could save yourself a trip and only go to McDonald's when the ice cream machine is working?

One TikTok video shows a website that displays all the McDonald's on an interactive map, highlighting whether the ice cream machine is in service.
The website - mcbroken.com - has an easy colour key to show all the working and non-working ice cream machines.
Not only that, mcbroken.com also shows the last time the data was updated - probably when the last customer did or didn't get a McFlurry - so you can judge the reliability for yourself.

Users of the map have mentioned that the website only shows McDonald's shops across United States, United Kingdom, and Germany.
People are responding positively to the viral video with comments like: 'It’s so sad that we need a website for this… 😂' and 'bro found the cheat code.'
Others are pledging their commitment to the app, saying, 'Yeah, I’m gonna use this app the rest of my life' and 'I shall never go home empty handed.'

Employees of McDonalds have taken to social media to shed light on why the ice cream machines always seem to be down. One video showed a worker revealing the sorry state of the machine before cleaning it, which put a lot of viewers off the creamy dessert.
But if you're feeling like you're on a constant unlucky streak with Maccies ice cream timing, it might not be so luck-related.
It might surprise you that the Taylor ice cream machine that McDonald's uses is actually supposed to clean itself. It takes four hours to clean and sanitise itself, a process that's supposed to happen everyday.

Most of the time, employees turn on the cleaning function at night, so it's ready for the morning shift workers. But nine times out of ten, the machine encounters errors and most McDonald's workers have to resort to cleaning it themselves.
