Blue Origin has just made history, delivering the world's first all-female space flight since Valentina Tereshkova's solo mission on Vostok 6 in 1963. Having flown the likes of William Shatner and Katy Perry to the stars, Jeff Bezos' SpaceX rival is making a name for itself in the space tourism scene. Perry flew on Blue Origin Flight NS-31 alongside journalist Gayle King, aerospace engineer Aisha Bowe, research scientist Amanda Nguyen, businesswoman Kerianne Flynn, and Bezos’ fiancée, Lauren Sánchez.
Despite jokes about the mission only taking 11 minutes (with four of those actually counting as being in space), opinions seem split on whether this is one giant leap for womankind or just a publicity stunt. It's not been revealed exactly who paid to be on the flight and what they paid, but in particular, Perry has faced a lot of flak. As well as Perry being mocked by the general public, the likes of Olivia Munn, Emily Ratajkowski, and Amy Schumer have been critical of the mission.

It's not just celebrities jumping on the booing bandwagon, with fast food restaurant Wendy's delivering its own savage response.
When Pop Crave announced that Perry had safely returned from space following her brief trip to the stars, Wendy's started a bitter rivalry when it posted: "Can we send her back?"
It’s true that fast food accounts are known for their sassy responses, and does anyone remember when Burger King ratioed Kanye West when he said McDonald's was his favorite fast food restaurant?
Still, we’re not sure where the Wendy's hatred for Katy Perry came from, and whether it was a joke or a social media intern having a bad day, it clearly didn't come off as intended.

Responding to the savage post, one critic said: "I won’t buy your f**king f**king hamburgers anymore, they even ripped him off 🤮🤮🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮💀."
Another added: "WTF Wendy you were my favorite restaurant why'd you have to ruin it."
Even Perez Hilton waded into the situation as he wrote: "What a lame tweet for a fast food restaurant to send! That's some old school Perez Hilton sh*t. Mean. Bullying."
The Wendy's account continued its bizarre vendetta, and when someone else made a joke about her songwriting skills, the account added: "Now she knows what it’s like to be a plastic bag floating in the wind."

It then concluded: "When we said women in stem [science, technology, engineering and mathematics] this isn’t what we meant."
Wendy's also seemingly reignited Kesha's feud with Perry, with the "We R Who We R" artist posting a picture of her slurping on a Wendy's drink.
The whole situation of sending Katy Perry into space has become a viral moment in an already wild 2025. In particular, the scene of her and King kissing the floor when they landed back on Earth is already spreading like wildfire as a meme. As for Wendy's, its original post is still up, and there's been no response as to why it went after Perry in the first place. Maybe whoever is behind the account is more of a Kesha fan.
