A YouTuber bravely attended a Flat Earth convention where people believe that NASA 'is the creation of the devil.'
The Flat Earth theory was once a belief held by ancient civilisations before it was scientifically disproven.
Then, as early as the fourth century BC, Greek philosophers like Plato were already describing the Earth as a sphere. But, the controversial theory has been making a comeback with many modern Flat Earthers claiming that NASA is just a global cover-up.

Dylan Dubeau, owner of the YouTube channel Not Exactly Normal, braved the inside of a Flat Earth convention and documented his experience.
He said that some Flat Earth subscribers would go as far as to say the agency was founded by 'Nazis, Freemasons and scientologists to convince the world that God doesn't exist.'
Some Flat Earthers have their own map of what they think the world looks like, while describing the moon landing and space being fake.

“From what I've learned, the Flat Earth movement is all about scepticism, it's about questioning everything that you've been taught," Dubeau said in the video. "Which is something that I'm sure Globe Earth Believers would support - not that you should mention globers around here.”
At the convention, Dubeau listened to several speakers including Rick Hummer and Robbie Davidson. In the clip, one speaker said: “The atmosphere is a dome, either physical or ethereal, and stars and planets are just points of light outside the dome.
“A core belief is that the employees of NASA are a bunch of liars we're going to go through where NASA came from and why I don't think that you should believe [...] they're liars, they film their scenes underwater in pools and then superimpose them using green screens to get them onto CGI spaceships.”
The YouTuber goes on to say that people who subscribe to the conspiracy theory of a Flat Earth 'don't believe that the Earth fits in with the heliocentric model of our solar system and instead believe that we are the centre of everything.'

He explained: “In their model, the sun and the moon are much smaller and orbit in concentric patterns somewhat like the yin yang symbol. Many believe that space isn't real and that satellites are just suspended from balloons.”
After watching Dubeau’s video, viewers had plenty to say in the comments section.
“Science is basically just finding evidence to come to a conclusion, but NOT start with a conclusion and select certain evidence to support your conclusion,” one viewer wrote, while another joked: “The combined IQ of the convention was about negative 14.”

A third recommended: “I have visited one of these conference and it really opened up my mind. I would recommend anyone to visit Flat Earth conference. It will make you feel like you are the smartest person there.”
