The Simpsons has made some chilling predictions for 2025 and time will tell if their apparent psychic abilities continue.

Fans of The Simpsons will already be well aware that the TV show is known for accurately predicting events that have come true later down the line.

From things like election results to the advancements of technology, the show seems to have an eerie foresight in what’s in store for us all.

So, let's take a look at some episodes that could be a foreshadowing for what to expect in 2025.

The end of the world as we know it

In one episode of The Simpsons, Homer believes that the end of the world is coming and starts to warn people.

He makes some chilling remarks such as ‘stars falling from the sky’ and ‘the end is near’.

However, while it seems like nonsense at first, some of the things that Homer is saying begin to come true.

Just when the rapture starts to turn up a notch, Homer ascends to heaven where he begs God to let his family live.

After a heated discussion, God agrees and undoes the rapture.

The beginning of World War Three

This prediction dates back to 1987 when a short from the show’s universe first aired.

In the clip, Homer runs drills, informing the family that World War Three has kicked off, forcing them all to rush to their bomb shelter.

After getting fed up with the repeated practices, Bart wakes Homer up and tells him that the world is ending.

Once in the bomb shelter, Bart locks Homer in and leaves him there until the morning to let the family get some rest.

Zombie Apocalypse

In what might be the most far-fetched prediction - The Simpsons might have foreseen a zombie apocalypse in our future.

In a Halloween themed episode which was released in 2009, Springfield winds up in a zombie outbreak.

This is sparked by a Krusty Burger that’s been made from cattle that have eaten other cattle.

Eating the burgers turns people into zombies and, after 28 days, the town is overrun by them.

It turns out that Bart is immune to the virus, which leads people to bizarrely believe that eating Bart will save them.

However, they end up being able to cleanse their food by having Bart contaminate it first.

Of course, it’s possible that none of these predictions will come true but The Simpsons did accurately predict the Trump presidency all the way back in 2000, so anything is possible!
