If there wasn't already enough misinformation on the internet, we then have to deal with YouTube, TikTok, Kick, Twitch, and the rest bombarding us with pranks. How many times a day is your feed filled with streamers and their 'prank' videos where the comment section is split between people saying it's a cruel joke and others calling it staged?
One streamer has found out the hard way why not everyone finds these kinds of videos funny, as Kick slammed Dumbdumbjeez with a ban for his dine and dash video with a 'homeless woman' called Mabel.
Dumbdumbjeez felt the wrath of Kick co-founder Bijan Tehrani and CEO Eddie Craven, with Tehrani branding him as 'pathetic.' Both have offered a $50,000 reward to anyone who can help put them in touch with Mabel, but apparently, the whole point of the video was for Dumbdumbjeez to earn himself $50,000.
According to Dumbdumbjeez, the original video was part of streamer Sam Pepper's challenge to take a stranger on a date. The rules stated that it can't be staged and creators had to livestream things, which Dumbdumbjeez claims is why he pretended to dine and dash 'Mabel.'

In a video titled "The Truth" (unlisted on his channel), Dumbdumbjeez explained: "I'm here to clear up the air for the clip that's been going viral that I did for Sam Pepper's challenge."
He says the aim was to get a 'funny clip out of it,' but as well as being banned from Kick, he's been disqualified from Pepper's competition.
Dumbdumbjeez maintains that he had a conversation with Mabel before the stream and had already discussed giving her money (although he doesn't reveal how much he paid her for the stunt).
Continuing about why he kept it a secret, Dumbdumbjeez says he wasn't going to tell viewers it was scripted until after he won the competition because he didn't want Sam to disqualify him:

"It still ended up backlashing on me, I got disqualifed and I got banned."
While Dumbdumbjeez says he'll learn from the video, he's still under fire for his apparent gloating: "Everybody coming in my DMS and stuff bro, at the end of the day, I'm a content creator and I felt like that was the biggest marketing thing ever...It's crazy cuz I got everybody fooled."
Comments in response to Dumbdumbjeez's video were largely against him, and despite claims he went back to pick up the bill, someone else added: "Staff at Kennedy's Steakhouse in Eugene, OR said that they covered the bill not him. This guy is a liar and trying to save his ass."

The content creator has since posted a video of Sam Pepper reacting to the prank, with the competition runner also seeming to find it funny.
As well as laughing at Dumbdumbjeez running out on Mabel, Pepper said: "He had an Uber waiting for him. Bro, I ain't the police, but that gets my super vote." It's unclear when Pepper responded to the video and whether he's aware of the backlash that Dumbdumbjeez is facing, but a look on his X account shows that he hasn't made any reference to it since.
Pepper is no stranger to controversy, with his 2014 "Fake Hand Ass Pinch Prank" and 2015 "Killing Best Friend Prank" videos landing him in hot water. He was also embroiled in FaZe Clan's Save the Kids scandal but has since returned to streaming via Kick and is known for his $50,000 prize competitions.
The date with a stranger competition has now closed, and safe to say, Dumbdumbjeez wasn't the winner.
