Like finding $5 down the back of your couch, spotting one of these Blu-Rays lying dormant on your shelf could net you up to $3,000 if you're lucky enough to have the right one.
Anyone who has ever started a physical media collection will be familiar with those goldmine items that you're dying to add to your collection but they cost a fortune - whether you think they're worth it or not is another question!
With the limited nature of physical editions it's only natural that prices start to soar, which can be great if you're a seller but a nightmare for film collectors out there.

Many of the items on the list below had a small number of copies produced, so if you were one of the lucky ones to nab one at launch you could be in for a treat.
While you should definitely check your collection to see if you've got any iconic old CDs, and you might also be hanging onto a DVD or two that'll make your bank account smile, selling even one of these Blu-Rays will definitely get you a lot of money.
Here's a list of the most valuable Blu-Rays that you might want to think about selling:
Dogma (1999)
- eBay sale price: $62.00
This Kevin Smith cult classic has picked up quite the reputation among physical collectors, and it's out-of-print status has allowed the price to rise quite significantly.

While it remains a popular choice in certain online circles, this clearly didn't extend to high Blu-Ray production numbers, and it's since become a rarer find that you might be able to make a quick buck from.
My Super Ex-Girlfriend (2006)
- eBay sale price: $99.99
This Uma Thurman-led romantic comedy isn't exactly a critical darling, earning itself 40% on Rotten Tomatoes and 5.2/10 on IMDb, but it's apparent rarity has made it quite the expensive sale on eBay.

While completed purchases have ranged between the $40-50 mark, one recent sale saw it go for a staggering $99.99. Hey, we've got no judgements!
At Long Last Love (1975)
- eBay sale price: $149.99
While 1975's At Long Last Love was so poorly received that director Peter Bogdanovic put out a newspaper ad apologizing for its release, it's somehow earned enough of a following nearly half a century after its conception to cost potential buyers $150 on eBay.

While this musical comedy might be one that the legendary director wants to forget, it could be a great memory for you when you sell it online.
Hellraiser: Deader
- eBay sale price: $210.00
This list of expensive Blu-Rays wouldn't be complete without a horror entry - especially one so far into an iconic series that only the dedicated fans know it exists, let alone want to watch it!

Hellraiser: Deader is that such film, and the straight-to-video seventh entry into the Pinhead-led franchise has somehow picked up a reputation worth paying $210 for.
Airheads (1994)
- eBay sale price: $379.99
It's here that things start to get a bit ridiculous, as somehow the 1994 commercial flop Airheads - starring a trio of Brendan Fraser, Steve Buscemi, and Adam Sandler - has somehow rocketed up to $380 in its Blu-Ray form.
While standard versions of the release appear to go for around the $250 mark, one 'lucky' buyer was able to snag a still-sealed version for $379.99 this month.
Twin Peaks: from Z to A
- eBay sale price: $699.99
Any fan of Lynch and Frost's iconic TV and film anthology will definitely understand the appeal of this boxset, despite the staggering price tag.
Coming in at $700 for a mint sealed version, you'll be able to enjoy the entire original two seasons, Fire Walk With Me, and The Return, alongside countless special features and physical addons.
On top of this, you'll also be able to say that you're one of just 25,000 people who own this release, which is definitely an appealing thing for dedicated fans out there.
Nakatomi Plaza Die Hard Collection
- eBay sale price: $799.00
While it can be hard to stomach paying nearly $800 for films that you could otherwise watch for a fraction of the price, a figure of the iconic LA-based Nakatomi 'Fox' Plaza makes the purchase a bit easier.
On top of this you also get all five Die Hard films in their Blu-Ray versions, but who really cares about that when you can gaze at the plaza all day?
Spider-Man Trilogy One Click Boxset
- eBay sale price: $1,640.00
This gorgeous collection of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy would be the perfect addition of any collection, and is currently the best way to watch (and own) the original films.
The 'one click' nature of this box allows all three films and their lenticular versions to be stored in a hard casing that lifts up to reveal the artwork - definitely worth the price if you're willing to pay it.
Marvel The Infinity Saga Collector's Edition 4K Box Set
- eBay sale price: $2,199.00
If you've somehow a big enough Marvel fan to have this in the first place but not big enough to open it then you could be in just under $2,200, if recent eBay sales are to be believed.
The only downside for potential buyers is that it only houses 23 of the 34 currently released Marvel Cinematic Universe films - not quite the complete collection now is it!
Sentai Legend of the Galactic Heroes Box Set
- eBay sale price: $2,995.00
At the top of this list is the complete Legend of the Galactic Heroes box set, which will net you (or set you back) just under $3,000.
This almighty collection contains the original 110 OVA series, all three films, and the 52 episode Gaiden OVA series. With 26 discs, you're 'only' paying $115 per disk - a bargain!
One post on the r/animecollectors subreddit discusses the rarity of this very boxset, with one commenter stating that "it was already one of the most expensive anime you could find, and running out of stock only increased that price."
If you somehow own it and were unaware of its price, then get up and list it immediately.
