There are some weird and wonderful reasons for entering the Guinness World Record book, with the world's hairiest family, the longest tongue on a living dog, and even the fastest time to assemble a Mr. Potato Head (blindfolded) being some of the more out-there ones.
While not official, we think TikTokker Jacob Pina could get his own world record for the world's longest thumb.
The 25-year-old content creator from Massachusetts has gone viral due to his abnormally long thumb, which he regularly stretches to five inches.

To put it into context, that's over twice what the average thumb typically measures.
Although some might think Pina and his giant thumb are fake, he's repeatedly proved it's the real deal and shown us his daily 'struggles' of what it's like being a man with such a massive appendage.

As well as having 183k subscribers on YouTube, his TikTok boasts 2.8 million followers and 65.8 million likes.
With his thumb being not far off the length of the 5.81-inch iPhone 16, you can imagine scrolling on his phone is a breeze.
In one video, he goes for a scroll and TikTok and explains how his thumb feels perfect for the iPhone.
He joked: "You guys have just witnessed the most powerful thumb on Planet Earth, just look at it. Wow, glorious."

Responding to his domineering digit, one shocked user wrote: "Sharpen the nail blud's got a katana 💀."
Another added, "Would be so easy to hit the "back" button(s) on iPhone 🤣" and a third said, "This makes me physically uncomfortable."
Previously speaking to Mail Online, Pina said his massive thumb comes in handy for thumb wars and playing on his Xbox: "I'm pretty good with Xbox. I'm really good at Rainbow Six Siege. I was like top ten in the world for probably 10 seasons straight."
At last check, he was ranked 89th in the world.

Still, much like we can't believe the size of his thumb, Pina says he 'can't believe' the number of likes he gets.
In one of his videos, he compares his giant thumb to an iPhone 14 Plus, a water bottle, banana, Xbox controller, and a potato.
One of the questions he gets asked most is whether it hurts, with Pina reiterating that he's been doing it for years and it doesn't cause him any pain.
Pina says he wasn't aware of his 'unique' ability until he was a high school freshman, but later, a friend encouraged him to make a TikTok channel in 2019.

Although the condition of hypermobility has previously been linked to genetic disorders, Pina says he doesn't have any explanation for why his thumb is such a whopper.
For those wondering, yes, his left thumb is also pretty jaw-dropping.
As his right hand is dominant, Pina says his right thumb is slightly larger, hence why it's the one that steals the show in his videos.
What does Pina's future hold?
Could he release his own punny thumb-themed podcast like Hawk Tuah Girl's Talk Tuah, or what about starting his own OnlyThumbs? We're here for whatever he does.
