A documentary has shed light on the unbelievable way they test vapes... and it's not pretty.
Vaping isn't exactly good for your health, and while scientists suggest it's better for you than smoking, that doesn't mean you should swap your daily vitamin tablet for a vape. Chances are that as you're mindlessly puffing away on your vape, you might not think about how it's being made. Taking us on one of those fascinating 'inside the factory' videos, we've now got a close-up look at how vapes are manufactured.
Heading to a disposable vape factory in China, you can see how vapes are made - although you might wish you hadn't watched it.

As with any product, there's a vigorous quality control regime, but did you think that would involve someone sucking on your vape before you?
In the video shared by Machina, the channel went to a disposable vape factory in Shenzhen, China. During the quality control section, we see footage of someone puffing each individual vape before packaging them to be sent out.
One man spoke to the presenter and said that he tests between 7,000 and 8,000 vapes a day, but during busy periods, that can rise to 10,000. If you're addicted to vaping, maybe you should apply for a job.

Many were shocked that someone had to test each vape, while others couldn't believe that someone is paid to vape all day every day. If that wasn't shocking enough, what about the fact that he also vapes outside of work?
The factory owner claims that vaping is 98% 'healthier' than smoking, but then again, he would say that. As for the factor's biggest customer, it's the USA that's taking most of its stock. With so many disposable vapes being churned out every day, at least the factory owner says he's looking at more planet-conscious versions in terms of refillable vapes.
Responding to this fascinating look being the curtain, one shocked viewer said: "That tester guy there having the biggest buzz of his life."

Another joked, "So you're telling me every vape we buy has been smoked by a stoned Chinese pink smurf," and a third said, "The f**k are you telling me this guy is my first ever kiss???"
Remembering that vaping can be linked to the disease known as popcorn lung if it contains the chemical known as diacetyl, we wouldn't fancy being that tester's lungs. Whatever way you look at it, having upwards of 7,000 vape puffs in a day can't be good.
Also, as 80% of the world's vapes are apparently made in this district, we're surprised Shenzen doesn't have a massive cloud hanging over it.
