Skateboarding tricks are notorious for pushing boundaries and pulling off insane moves - and YouTube isn't short of them.
However, daredevil Jay Alvarrez took the saying 'the sky is the limit' to a whole new level with a stunt that could be the 'biggest skateboard air ever?'
The Hawaiian athlete set up a halfpipe in the sky that was hung by a hot air balloon.

Bearing in mind, the halfpipe wasn't that big so Alvarrez didn't go crazy on the tricks, but he did enjoy some high-altitude skating among the clouds, as he filmed with his GoPro.
He then brought over a skydiver on a rope to film the following daring stunt.
Alvarrez pulls off his last indy grab before he jaw-droppingly freefalls into the clouds.

Whether you call it stupid or brave is another question, but you can't deny the speechless nosedive that would probably even impress the likes of stuntman Tom Cruise.
After a liberating fall, Alvarrez then releases his parachute - still holding his GoPro and skateboard might I add - and successfully lands in an open field.
Safe to say, viewers can't get enough of the dreamlike footage, with one commenting: 'This feels so surreal, it's the type of stuff to lucid dream about, truly incredible.'
Others were so impressed that he managed to hold onto the board and his GoPro throughout the entire stunt.

One viewer also said: 'If this was a skateboarding video game, you’d rack up some mad points with that long combo.'
Another admirably wrote: 'This is absolutely epic in so many ways, most notably for how you were being able to pull your chute while holding a skateboard and an action cam in your hands, then holding onto that board with your legs until you were ready to land. That was all around awesome!'.
You probably wouldn't be surprised to know that it's not the first of Alvarrez's ventures into stunts.

Around the same time, Alvarrez also uploaded another thrilling stunt video of him and his group of friends jumping on a trampoline that was also suspended in the skies by a hot air balloon.
Commenting on his adventurous lifestyle, Alvarrez previously explained: 'I would begin to shoot photos and videos of all the adventures I went on. It became my favourite hobby and main pastime to always be documenting all the happenings in my life. It became a sort of escape and purpose.'
