Meta's Mark Zuckerberg took the opportunity to share his thoughts on the newly launched Apple Vision Pro - and people are loving it.
He captioned in his Instagram reel: 'I tried Vision Pro. Here's my take, shot with Quest's high-resolution mixed reality passthrough.'
All the way through, he promotes - and basically boasts - the Meta Quest and makes some valid points in the eyes of his viewers.

Sat on his couch, Zuckerberg speaks to the camera in a seemingly unscripted way and highlights that the Quest 3 weighs 120 grams less, making it more comfortable for the user. The wider field of view and lack of physical battery within it make it a more attractive and practical product all-round.
The Meta founder said: 'So I finally tried Apple Vision Pro and I have to say before this I expected that Quest would be the better value for most people since it's really good and it's like seven times less expensive.'
'But after using it, I don't just think Quest is the better value, I think that Quest is the better product, period,' he claimed.

He mentioned that the quality of the Vision Pro is 'better' but he was surprised how many 'trade-offs' it had to make to the 'quality, comfort and ergonomics' of the device in order to do so.
The Facebook founder also pointed out that the option for precision controllers and supported hand tracking makes Quest stand out.
Commenting on Quest's vast content library, Zuckerberg explained that if users wanted to watch YouTube or play Xbox on a big screen 'anywhere you go' it's 'only available on Quest right now.'
'People assumed Vision Pro would be higher quality because it's Apple and it costs $3000 more.'

Looking back at the tech industry, which he described to be made up of open and closed winning models, Zuckerberg pointed out that Apple's closed model won in terms of the mobile industry, whilst Microsoft's open model was the winner in PCs.
Now in the next generation of tech, he hopes open models win again in the form of Quest.
'The best way to predict the future is to invent it,' he quoted.

The billionaire entrepreneur's fans agree with the video's accuracy.
One comment read: 'Honestly this video hits the nail right on the head. The Apple Vision Pro is just a vanity project. Just something that looks cool, but has no realistic longterm utilisation for its price point. Amazing job at Oculus and I hope Meta keeps leading the metaverse as it has.'
Another wrote: 'More CEOs should do this if you really stand behind your product.'
Others were impressed at the quality of the camera shot on Quest, saying: 'Cant believe this was shot on Quest 3! So good!'

This type of targeting and product roasting between tech giants has happened in the past.
Back in 2007, when the first iPhone was released, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer didn't hold back his reactions to the new release and he let out barrels of laughter.
