An Olympic shooter has gone viral for his “insane aura” after winning a silver model with none of the tech.
Footage of the Turkish athlete has spread across social media as people compare his simple method of shooting with other athletes’ use of tech to assist them.
Yusuf Dikeç gave off an air of nonchalance as he took aim during the competition earlier this week in Paris.

Participants of the event tend to make use of all the equipment available to them in a bid to take home the top prize but not Dikeç.
His opponents wore custom glasses to block their vision in one eye as well as wearing ear protection and tinted lenses to help them focus, but the Turkish shooter had a different approach.
Explaining his method on the Turkish radio station, Radyo Gol, Dikeç said: “I shoot with both eyes, most shooters do it with one.

“So I didn’t want that all that equipment. Shooting with two eyes — I believe that it’s better. I’ve done a lot of research on it, so I didn’t need the equipment.”
In a very casual manner, competing in what looked like his everyday glasses and one hand in his pocket, Dikeç took home Turkey’s first ever Olympic medal in shooting.
He added: “Shooting with my hand in my pocket has nothing to do with artistry. I am more motivated and feel more comfortable while shooting.”

He said that the stance “is actually about bringing the body to equilibrium and focusing and concentrating”.
Pics have since gone viral with a lot of people comparing him demeanor to that of Kim Ye-ji, a shooter from South Korea who had on a pair of futuristic looking glasses and a lot of high-tech gear.
Taking to social media, one user commented on Dikeç’s “insane aura” while another wrote: “No lens, no headphones, just vibes” before adding that he won the silver and the “fans’ hearts”.

One user said: “Yusuf Dikeç, the shooter, the hitman, the f***ing master.”
And another added: “Top confidence. A hand in the pocket. No specialized lenses, no problem. Too easy for him.”
After winning his medal, the 51-year-old said: “I’m very happy. An Olympic medal is an Olympic medal, and in Los Angeles [at the 2028 Games], hopefully, it’s a gold medal.”
Spectators have recently discovered through Instagram that Dikeç is a cat person, earning him even more fans on social media.
