There are always stories surrounding supposedly haunted ancient treasures, but this Indian temple is taking the idea of cursed vaults incredibly seriously.
Archaeologists have previously uncovered miracles in Egyptian tombs, but have also suffered grave 'curses' from exploring others, yet there's something so alluring about the unknown - especially when it comes with the promise of treasure.
While many of the Earth's most intriguing discoveries have occurred naturally like this 'Lost City' in the ocean, many others were created by ancient dynasties and rulers who relished in boasting their wealth.

Such is the case with the Shree Padmanabhaswamy Temple located in Kerala, India, which supposedly holds a treasure world over $1 trillion, but it's locked behind a door that most refuse to even open.
Initially created in dedication to Lord Vishnu, the temple is said to hold the wealth an treasures collected during the reign of the Travancore king, as reported by the News Minute, which is said to be worth a vast sum of money.
Five of the temple's six vaults have since been opened following a 2011 Supreme Court ruling that sought transparency over the running of the building, but the sixth - known as 'Vault B' - remains closed to this day due to rather spooky circumstances.

Vault B is allegedly guarded by supernatural powers, including a horrifying-sounding group of giant cobras. Not something you'd want to run into in the middle of the night!
Besides the supernatural, you'll also have to get past metal detectors, security cameras, and more than 200 armed guards, all of which are certainly a threat you can't deny.
Forbes unveiled Auditor General Vinod Rai's claims that Vault B had indeed been opened at least seven times since 1990 with no disastrous results, so the notion that it's all a superstition is definitely held by some.

There is allegedly a secret tunnel that architects used to lock the chamber doors from within, and pairing this with the report that up to 769 Gold Pots and Silver bars have been reported missing, it's easy to wonder whether some have been sneaking in and out with some treasures.
It'll likely still be a while until we know the true contents of Vault B though, as the Supreme Court are expected to strike down the request to open it up, leaving us all to remain puzzled over what really lies inside the chamber.
You'd think that people would be rushing to open something with that much treasure inside, but the fear of the unknown - and giant cobras, I guess - can often be too much for many.
