YouTuber Nikocado Avocado made this promise to fans years before he pulled off the 'greatest social experiments' in YouTube history

For Nikocado, this was a long time coming

Nikocado Avocado has pulled off what he’s calling one of the 'greatest social experiments' on YouTube.

The 'mukbang' famous streamer managed to secretly shed 17 stone (238 pounds) while convincing his fans that he was still devouring massive meals.

It's only recently come about that Nikocado hinted at this idea back in 2022, when he mentioned he's always 'two steps ahead.'

Nikocado had been targeted online for his 400-pound+ weight - And about seven months ago, he suddenly stopped posting new content.

This led to a lot of speculation.

Then, on the weekend, the 32-year-old dropped a video titled 'Two Steps Ahead,' showing off his dramatic weight loss to just 158 pounds.

He admitted that he hadn’t filmed any new videos for the past two years.

Instead, he’d been posting pre-recorded content while working on losing weight behind the scenes.

Despite baffling the entire YouTube community, it seems Nikocado might have forgotten his comments during a 'quarantine collab' with fellow YouTuber James Marriott.

In that video of May 2020, Nikocado laid out a plan for his transformation, talking about how he wanted his weight to hit 300 pounds 'just to say' he did it.

Marriott introduced the video explaining that they discussed the 'stresses of being a YouTuber, therapy and what in Nikocado's life is fact and what is fiction.'

During their chat, Nikocado also discussed how filming his extravagant mukbangs affected his health, including a past heart attack.

He also hinted at wanting to become a weight loss guru eventually 'just to say' he had done it.

Nikocado also stated that people used to regularly ask him for diet advice, but he would often tell them: "You're asking the wrong person."

Although, he hinted that one day, he intended to become a go-to guru for weight loss tips.

Nikocado told Marriott: "My goal actually - people laugh about it, but it is my goal.

"Watch, it's going to happen! I'm going to do these mukbangs for another year or two and then see where I'm at, and then I'm gonna lose weight. And then show everyone how to lose weight doing my thing.

"I don't even know how I'm going to do it, but I'm going to do something with weight loss."

Marriott remarked that it would be the 'most ridiculous shift in YouTube history' if he managed to actually turned his content fitness and health-related. Though, it still came as a major surprise!
