A popular but controversial Twitch streamer has been given the boot of the streaming platform.
Former Call of Duty pro Nick 'Nickmercs' Kolcheff may have over 6.5 million followers on Twitch alone but he has earned a negative rep for his cause of drama.
Just a couple of days ago, he posted the screenshot from the X's StreamerBans account.

'Banned for using the word “Tr*nny” on Twitch,' the caption read. 'Apparently that’s a derogatory term. That’s on me. Next time I’ll use mental health disorder.'
This is reportedly Kolcheff's first-ever ban from Twitch. However, it's certainly not the streamer's first time spouting anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ+ remarks.
During 2023’s Pride Month, the FaZe Clan member criticised transgender rights protesters in Florida, tweeting: 'They should leave little children alone.'

His message echoed those of conservatives who are opposed to LGBTQ+ rights, alleging that teaching gender and sexuality in schools is 'grooming' children.
Activision responded by pulling Kolcheff’s in-game skin from Call of Duty.
While Kolcheff has claimed he's not a bigot, he's consistently contradicted himself. One example in his Elden Ring streams, saying: 'there’s no such thing as trans people.'
And just a week ago, he attacked YouTuber MrBeast's contributor Ava Kris Tyson, who is a trans woman.

This is after she quote-tweeted a video of Kolcheff defending Guy 'Dr Disrespect' Beahm from newly surfaced allegations on June 22.
It recently came to light that the reason behind Dr Disrespect's 2020 Twitch ban is that he knowingly sent 'sexually explicit texts' to a minor.
The backlash has been intense since NickMercs posted his response on X, with many in the online community calling him 'pathetic' and a 'loser.'

'“Protect the kids” & “peace & love” while bullying some of the most at risk kids in the world is pathetic man,' one user replied.
'you're now putting your career on the line just so you can continue to spread transphobia? just play call of duty and shut up bro. jesus christ,' another wrote.
'"apparently that's a derogatory term",' a third quoted. 'this is not news to anyone, including you. where would you have heard it that wasn't derogatory?
'it's the exact word you intended to use, so keep saying it. then own the consequences.'

Twitch has not confirmed whether it will allow Kolcheff to return to the platform.
