Mike Tyson gives cryptic statement after revealing how he really felt during Jake Paul fight

Mike Tyson gives cryptic statement after revealing how he really felt during Jake Paul fight

We're not sure about that rematch

It was a fight seen around the world, and with some 60 million households tuning in to watch Jake "The Problem Child" Paul take on Mike "Iron Mike" Tyson, the eight-round match was just the start of the story.

In the aftermath of controversial rule changes and accusations that Paul's victory against the former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world was fixed, people have been trying to sue Netflix and even Tyson himself.

There has been no shortage of offers for who Jake Paul could fight next, while Tyson has supposedly been offered a record-breaking $700 million for a rematch. Iron Mike has been pretty quiet since he lost on a judge's decision, but in a new interview, he's explained what was going through his head while in the ring.

Speaking to 7 News Miami, Tyson said: "Magically. It just happened so quick. 8 round were over fast. I wasn’t tired. I wasn’t sweating. I didn’t understand that."

For those who thought it was 'sad' to see Tyson compared to his former glory days, he's downplaying the idea that he was tired or struggling to keep up with Paul's punches.

Still, with a 31-year age difference between the pair, some have called it 'unfair'.

Let's also remember that Tyson has been out of the game for some time, having officially retired from boxing following a June 2005 fight against Kevin McBride. There have been a couple of exhibition fights to help pay his debts, followed by a sanctioned fight against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020.

Tyson doesn't make it sound like he's going to be lacing up his gloves for a full-time return to boxing, but he's left a few raised eyebrows with a cryptic tease of what's next.

Talking to the outlet, Tyson mused: "As I said before the sky is the limit. Anything I want, I’m just happy to be able to do it. I’m very grateful to have the opportunity to be able to do everything that I want to do in this and beyond."

After playing himself in the first two Hangover movies, Tyson suggested to 7News that he’s looking into more movie roles.

We doubt there will be more Expendables movies after the box office bombing of 2023's Expend4bles, although Tyson seems like he would've been made for a role in a movie like that.

Elsewhere, if the Fast & Furious movies managed to get Helen Mirren to play a gangster granny, who's to say Vin Diesel can't write a villainous role for Tyson as the franchise comes to an end?

Even though a return to acting instead of a return to the ring could be on the cards for Tyson, something tells us he won't be popping up in House of the Dragon season 3.
