Elon Musk is everywhere these days, and just when we thought we could escape the headlines about him heading up the Department of Government Efficiency or whether he's had another kid, comedians are reminding us about him as they keep doing hilariously good impressions.
While Elon Musk himself hasn't been a fan of Dana Carvey and Mike Myers' Saturday Night Live impersonations of him, we wonder what he'll think of Kyle Dunnigan's takedown on Kill Tony: Kill or Be Killed which hit Netflix this week.
The Netflix description for Kill or Be Killed explains how contestants have "a bucket, a mic and one minute to win over Tony Hinchcliffe and a panel of famous guests." Describing it as stand-up as its 'most unforgiving', the 2025 special included Kyle Dunnigan on the panel, pulling off his best Elon Musk impression.
Who is Kyle Dunnigan?

Dunnigan appeared in the first of Netflix's three Kill Tony specials, headed up by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe. Hinchcliffe is known best for the controversy where he referred to Puerto Rico as a 'floating island of garbage' while on stage at a Trump rally last year. As well as three Kill Tony specials being filmed at Joe Rogan's Comedy Mothership in Texas, Hinchcliffe was given a solo stand-up show.
As for Dunnigan, he's remembered as a writer on Inside Amy Schumer and for playing Craig in the Reno 911! mockumentary. In terms of his own comedy credentials, he's appeared on the likes of Comedy Central Presents Kyle Dunnigan and Premium Blend, as well as talk shows including Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
Clips of Dunnigan's Musk impression are going viral, with some noting how awkward it seemingly made Joe Rogan. Rogan has famously buddied up with Musk on his The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, while both attended President Donald Trump's inauguration.
Kyle Dunnigan takes on Elon Musk

Praising Dunnigan's take on Musk, one fan said: "Rogan is buddies with Musk so I’m sure he’s trying not to laugh too hard. It’s a very good impression though very funny sh*t."
Another joked: "That's spot on, got the head movement and everything. If he was stealing money from everyone in the audience it would be indistinguishable."
A third chimed in over on X and said: "Joe was a tough co-host for this ep because of his relationship with Elon. Not selling any of the bit. Objectively a very funny interpretation of Musk."
Not everyone was sold on Dunnigan's impressions, as someone responded saying: "No one’s really figured out a good Elon Musk impression— except maybe @AdrianDittmann 🤣." This mocks the allegations that the Adrian Dittman account was actually Elon Musk in disguise or a possible AI recreation.

Across the board, many were critical of Kill Tony: Kill or Be Killed, with the harshest branding it as 'unfunny’'. Elsewhere, there was plenty of praise for Shane Gillis' take on Donald Trump, while Dunnigan also pulled off a pretty solid impression of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. that had the panel chuckling.
Despite Hinchcliffe's bombing at a 2024 Trump rally in Madison Square Garden and being called out for his 'offensive' brand of comedy, he's the latest in Netflix's branch of controversial comics to take over the streaming giant.
