Jeff Bezos’ fiancé has revealed the one thing that “people don’t really know” about the mogul and it’s actually unexpectedly heartwarming.
Lauren Sánchez is a media personality who rose to fame as an entertainment reporter and news anchor before meeting the Amazon boss in 2018.
The pair had an affair while they were both married, resulting in Bezos’ divorce from his wife, MacKenzie Scott, ending their 25-year-long, marriage.

Afterwards Sánchez and Bezos became an official couple and they got engaged last year.
Now Sánchez has lifted the lid on the billionaire is really like behind closed doors in a new interview with the Hollywood Reporter.
In the conversation between her and actress Eva Longoria, Sánchez shared that Bezos is incredibly generous.

She said that one thing “people don't really know” about him is that he installed an eight-floor, 63,000-square-foot homeless shelter inside an Amazon building in Seattle.
She went on to say: “We really look for organizations that are not only addressing urgent issues but also have a clear, impactful plan for making a difference.”
In the chat, Sánchez also talked about the $10 billion Bezos Earth Fund, which on their website is described as being established “with the largest philanthropic commitment ever to fight climate change and protect nature”.

The fund focuses on climate-related innovation as well as restoration and climate justice.
Amazon have also collaborated with Mary’s Place, which is an organization that helps to support homeless families.
Sánchez said: “One thing that Jeff did with Mary's Place is he put the homeless shelter inside Amazon's offices in Seattle which is incredible.
“I know. It's crazy that people don't really know about this that much.”

It opened in May 2020 as a space that can fit up to 200 people each night.
It’s fitted with a health clinic, kitchen, dining areas, and even playrooms for children.
There’s office space too where Amazon’s legal team are available to offer people legal advice.

Employees of the company have the option to volunteer at the shelter if they wish but the shelter has a separate entrance from the offices to give homeless families privacy.
According to Amazon, in 2020, the shelter gave more than 85 families emergency housing.
In April 2021, Bezos - who is the world’s second richest man - posted a video on social media of him and his fiancé giving the Washington State Governor a tour of the shelter.
