To think of the wealthiest people in the world today, your mind would turn to Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates.

While some live more modest or philanthropic lives than others, you can't deny their wealth.

Musk has his hand in several billion-dollar projects.

For starters, his Tesla business has a net worth of $798.66 billion manufacturing electric vehicles.

Then, his SpaceX project is potentially partnering with US space agency NASA to properly dispose of the International Space Station when the time comes.

A lot of Musk's wealth also comes from his investments in the stock market.

But just how many days would it take for Elon Musk to go broke if he spent $1 million every day?

According to Forbes’ real-time billionaire list, the tech billionaire's current net worth is around $263.9 billion, and he’s on track to become the world’s first trillionaire by 2027. So, it would definitely be a long period of time.

Surprisingly, if Musk spent $1 million every single day, taking no breaks he would last an astonishing 610 years.

This is over 120 years more than Jeff Bezos would last, given that his net worth is currently $177 billion. It would take 484.9 years for the Amazon CEO to go broke.

It's also worth mentioning that Musk has a lot of his money tied up in investments, so while he could spend $1 million a day, he might actually have it last even longer since his assets would still be passively earning him money.

I'm not sure how most people would spend one million dollars every day, but maybe we could learn a thing or two from Universal Pictures' Brewster's Millions.

People have been flooding the comments of the post by thetrillionairelife on Instagram, amazed by Musk's wealth.

"This guy is loaded... holy," one Instagram user exclaimed.

"He's spending a lot more than that on a daily basis," another commented.

"His one second salary can fix my whole problem," wrote another.

Others took a more humorous approach saying: "Elon, can you please spot me a few?" and "Can i have some of that sir".

An Instagram user boldly added: "If he gives $1m to every single human, he will go broke".
