A top gaming YouTuber has had his entire retro gaming collection destroyed in the devastating Hurricane Helene.
The catastrophic storm devastated the Big Bend region of Florida when it hit last week, with tragically 133 people confirmed dead and over 600 still missing.
For people affected by the hurricane, many have lost their homes or seen severe damage to their property.

One YouTuber, Clint - known online as Lazy Game Reviews (LGR) - shared how his home had suffered ‘incredible damage’.
While he revealed that he was safe, the same couldn’t be said for his collection of retro games.

On his @lazygamereviews account, he said: “Hey folks. Unfortunately LGR will be postponed for a good while I feel.
“More details to follow but the hurricane has done *incredible* damage to my place, I won’t be livin there for a bit. Many folks I know have it much worse than I do so please keep Asheville in your thoughts.”
Another user, @Mac84tv, shared an updated message from Clint where he revealed that there was ‘almost zero phone service across Western NC’ along with ‘no power, no internet, no running water in my area.’

In the message, Clint said: “Countless homes around me are wrecked like mine, fully open to the elements with the roof/walls gone and too much damage to safely cover up ourselves. I’m staying safe with family for now but have very little chance to communicate or even think about beginning repairs.
“Priority now is to cut a path through to my house so eventually the trees can be removed from it by crane. Determined to get through this though!”
Fans took to social media to share their thoughts, with one user writing on Reddit: “Think of all those big box games and rare computers that have been lost in the storm. All that history lost. I'm really glad he is safe though.”

Another said: “This is genuinely heartbreaking. I hope he is able to salvage some of his collection, even if some of it is still damaged. But the fact he got out of there with his family and friends is the really important part.”
And a third person added: “Clint is such a gem, and has done so much work preserving and sharing his love of retro tech. It's not even something I'm usually into but his videos are pleasant and warm. I knew he was in WNC, but hadn't thought about him in regards to Helene.
“Most importantly I'm glad he and his family are okay. As a media archivist, I'm sad for all that he's lost, but I'm sure he and his fans will start rebuilding the collection when things have recovered.”
