Elon Musk has had his fair share of public relationships, but one that appears to have hurt him the most is his split from famous actress Amber Heard, which he reveals left him in 'severe emotional pain'.
We all probably know a bit too much about Elon Musk's love life at this point, but it's certainly intriguing to keep up with the romantic entanglements of the richest man in the world.
His first marriage doesn't exactly appear to be great in retrospect, as shockingly brutal conversations and difficult encounters underpin the inevitable failure of an eight-year marriage that saw Musk rise to riches and fame.

His subsequent two marriages - both to actress Talulah Riley - were only a few years in length, and the tech billionaire has remained unmarried for nearly a decade now, despite having several relationships and even more children.

Musk's first relationship following his second divorce from Riley saw him become involved with another actor, Amber Heard.
While, as reported by Rolling Stone, Musk had become interested in Heard after watching her in Machete Kills, it was three years after that they officially went public, following Heard's divorce from Johnny Depp.

Their relationship remained complex and mostly long distance, and just four months after going public they decided to call it quits. "Although Amber and I did break up, we are still friends, remain close and love one another," wrote Musk in an Instagram post following the split.
Despite the decision being amicable from the outside though, Musk shortly revealed that he'd been left heartbroken in an interview with Rolling Stone.
"I was really in love, and it hurt bad," the Tesla CEO recounted of his feelings following their breakup. "I had been in severe emotional pain for the last few weeks. Severe."
He also recounts struggling to make it through the launch event of Tesla's new Model 3, revealing that it was the support of positive people and a couple of Red Bulls that got him through despite his emotional turmoil.

"I'm not looking for a one-night stand, I'm looking for a serious companion or soulmate, that kind of thing," Musk continued, outlining his romantic preferences.

He certainly got his wish soon after too, as by May of the next year it was revealed that he was dating musician Grimes.
Their relationship lasted around three and a half years, and they had three children together - although that remains a point of conflict as they were only recently involved in a challenging custody battle.

He has since had four children with Neuralink director Shivon Zilis, who currently resides in Musk's Austin compound, alongside another with MAGA influencer Ashley St. Clair.
The latter has been particularly outspoken about Musk's treatment of her following the birth of their child, as he's reportedly significantly reduced child support payments from what was initially agreed, to the point where St. Clair had to sell her $100,000 Tesla vehicle - a somewhat symbolic gesture perhaps.
