Elon Musk's father has revealed the financial support he receives from his billionaire son.
As the world’s richest man, Elon isn’t just busy with his own ventures but he’s also recently stepped into a new position of influence as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency and a close ally of Trump.
But running several tech giants like Tesla, SpaceX, and Neuralink in this ever-expanding empire makes you wonder if Elon is the type of guy who sends some of his wealth back to his family?

Well, to some extent, yeah.
In an interview with DJ Vlad on YouTube, South African politician Errol Musk opened up about the financial assistance he receives from his son. Despite Elon’s fortune, Errol insists he doesn’t rely heavily on his son or the 'Family's Foundation,' as he called it.
"I don't ask for much help because I'm self-supporting, you see," he said. "So, I don't really have much need for help."

However, he did reveal that Elon provides financial support to other members in the 'extended family.'
For example, Errol mentioned that single women in the family 'receive a monthly income' whilst married women receive something similar.
At one point though, two years ago, Elon gifted his dad a pretty expensive car.
"It was originally going to be a Tesla which was going to be sent out here, but the price was astronomical," Errol described.

When Errol was asked what he’d prefer instead, he skipped over the idea of a Jeep and requested a Bentley instead.
He added: "I said I want a Bentley so Elon said 'sure, Bentley.' So there's a Bentley in my garage now," Errol chuckled, adding that he's 'yet to add the number plates to it.'
While Errol admits that he doesn’t need much from Elon, he does reach out for help when necessary. "I don't really have a great need for assistance but occasionally they help me if I ask," he explained.

"They helped me with my medical costs," he said, adding that the bills reached 'nearly a million.'
Overall, the 79-year-old mentioned he has no complaints about how Elon and his brother Kimbal Musk treat their family. “If you ask them, they help you,” he stated.
If you've been keeping up with Elon's recent news, you might already know that his relationship with his father has been rocky for years. In fact, the SpaceX founder refused to let his children meet their grandfather, largely due to Errol’s contentious past, including having a child with his own stepdaughter. Still, Errol has defended Elon in the media, even backing him over recent controversies.
Probably most notably, he dismissed allegations that Elon performed a 'Nazi salute' on stage, claiming it was an 'international salute used for thousands of years.'

Many viewers have been praising Elon for supporting his family despite their troubled history.
"Love or hate Elon Musk I respect a man that takes care of his family," one YouTube user wrote. "That's pretty generous of Elon to help his entire family!" a second viewer added. "No matter how bad he speaks on his father, Elon still takes care of his father," another viewer commented.
