Elon Musk has made a bizarre profession of love to Donald Trump in a new post.
The world’s richest man has been very vocal in his support of the new president in the last few months, and is now being referred to as his ‘first buddy’.
After donating millions of dollars to his election campaign, Trump gave Musk the position of head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

While not technically a government department, Trump revealed that DOGE would act as an outside advisor on federal spending.
However, since the department has started its work, it has proven to be controversial, with Musk being granted full access to the Treasury’s federal payment system.
And it seems that the Tesla boss is in gratitude to Trump over his new role, after Musk took to his own social media platform X, formerly Twitter, to declare his love for him.

In a tweet, he wrote: “I love @realDonaldTrump as much as a straight man can love another man.”
This caused quite a stir, with many people taking to the comment section to reply to the SpaceX CEO.
One user wrote: “Valentine’s Day is on the 14th.”
Another said: “I agree, you purchased him fair and square.”

And a third person added: “We listen we don’t judge!”
There have been growing concerns over the level of access Musk’s DOGE has, including the possibility that it may have access to confidential information including social security numbers and Medicare benefits payments.

Lindsay Owens, who is the executive director of economic think tank Groundwork Collaborative, previously shared her thoughts on the possible routes Musk could go down.

In an op-ed for MSNBC, she said: “Musk could also get his hands on the ‘Do Not Pay’ system that lists individuals or contractors the government has blacklisted, theoretically granting him control over whom the government does business with.
“Government contracts have been central to Musk’s $400 billion net worth; his companies have signed billions of dollars’ worth of government contracts.
According to another report by Reuters, DOGES staff members have taken over the headquarters of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), leaving other employees shut out of the computer system, and have moved sofas onto the fifth floor so workers can sleep on site.
They have also used the access of the OPM systems to offer federal employees a ‘deferred resignation’ program.

This means they would resign from government service but remain on the payroll for six months.
However, the buyout program has been put on pause for now by a federal judge pending a hearing.
