The little-known way that Baba Vanga discovered her mystic powers led to her becoming one of the world’s most famous psychics.

Followers claim that Baba Vanga has predicted some huge worldwide events over the years including, 9/11, Covid and even Princess Diana’s death.

They also say that her predictions continue to be relevant, with her making statements about what will happen long into the future.

However, some may be surprised to discover just how Baba Vanga came to be a world-known psychic.

The Bulgarian was born in 1911 and lost her sight in a storm at the age of 12.

But it wasn’t until the 1940s that she uncovered her supernatural abilities and began using them to help people find out if soldiers in combat during World War II were alive or dead.

Her foresight gave peace to people who were worried about their loved ones in battle and after the war ended, Baba Vanga’s fame and popularity continued to grow.

Viktoria Vitanova-Kerber, an academic who has studied Baba Vanga for years, spoke to news.com.au, saying: “People were consulting her, not only the people from her town, but also from the whole country and people from abroad.

“And by the 1960s, people were queuing in front of her door.”

According to the expert, the majority of people who sought advice from the mystic, asked her personal questions such as, ‘will my daughter ever get married?’ or ‘am I going to have children?’.

Vitanova-Kerber has also called the validity of Baba Vanga’s predictions into question.

She said: “She wasn’t the type of person who had a diary or was documenting a lot.

“The prophecies are not documented … so we will never know what she really said or not, because as I said, there are almost no documents about anything in her life.”

Vitanova-Kerber went on to say: “People who knew her or who visited her once or twice … and now in the present time, they come up with new memories.

“They say, ‘Oh I forgot that she said this and that’.

“For example, if she said, ‘in future there will be great sickness spreading’, then in 2021, of course, people said, ‘oh, she meant Covid for sure’.

“In most cases, those are just inventions or constructions.”

Still, the famous psychic is still well known for her predictions and, despite dying in 1996, even has some ideas of what 2025 could have in store for us.
