If you’re a PlayStation fan then listen up - you have just one week left for a chance to claim a free PS5 Pro console.

There’s nothing better than snagging a free video game - well, until now.

The brand new PS5 Pro is due to come out later this week (November 7) after fans speculated about the release for months.

But Sony has officially announced that it will be made available very soon and the new console comes with some exciting features.

The PS5 Pro will have an improved resolution, ray tracing and will perform at a higher frame rate.

The new console will be available to purchase in the traditional white palette but that’s not all.

If you placed an order for the 30th Anniversary edition, then you’ll receive a PS5 Pro that was inspired by the original first released in 1994.

In the product description, it says: “A legacy color scheme that pays homage to the legendary original PlayStation console, which launched on 3 December 1994.

“Each Limited Edition PS5 Pro console for sale is individually numbered as a collector’s item, and only 12,300 of these numbered consoles will be available for customers to purchase globally.”

Unfortunately for most PlayStation gamers, actually getting your hands on that anniversary console was a near-impossible task.

This was largely due to much of its stock being gobbled up by greedy scalpers looking to resell the console for egregious profits.

However, if you were one of those gamers who missed out on pre-ordering the 30th Anniversary PlayStation 5 Pro console, then fear not because there is seemingly one last hope.

Sony has opened up an official competition, giving fans a chance to win one of the limited edition consoles.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, PlayStation UK wrote: “For the chance to win a 30th Anniversary PS5 Digital Edition, reply to this post with a photo of when you were gifted a PlayStation and tell us the story behind it, Christmas or birthday, from PS1 to PS5.”

Granted, the chances of you actually winning this competition are probably very low due to the sheer number of entries it is bound to generate, but it has got to be worth a shot, right?

If you don’t manage to win - the standard white PlayStation 5 Pro will be released on November 7 while its 30 Anniversary counterpart will launch on 21 November 2024.
