Reddit users have spotted an incredible Easter egg placed on PS5 controllers.
It's not just the Marvel Cinematic Universe that's known for its Easter eggs, with the world of video games being packed full of them. The Last of Us makes several winks toward Uncharted (setting them in the same universe), GTA: San Andreas has its own Half-Life crossover, and some thought Elon Musk snuck a cameo into Cyberpunk 2077 - spoiler, he didn't.
If video game Easter eggs weren't enough, what about Sony hiding a real-life Easter in the PlayStation 5?

Like Oculus VR headsets shipping with secret "This Space for Rent" messages or the lost legacy of the Nintendo 64DD peripheral, Sony has hidden a sneaky Easter egg on all PS5 controllers.
Ever since we first booted up Tomb Raider on the original PlayStation, think about many times we've looked down at our controllers and the iconic combo of the green triangle, red circle, blue cross, and pink square.
Even though Sony has moved on from the colors, and controllers have come a long way since, the shapes are still a signature of every controller. However, the PS5 has also hidden another nod to PlayStation's legacy by including braille-like shapes on the grips that adorn the back of the controller.

A thread about the hidden Easter egg appeared on Reddit, but baffled gamers didn't seem to know what they were looking at. It was only when the camera zoomed in that it become clear.
One impressed fan cheered: "Wtf who knew that plain white boring controller we PS5 users have has square x triangle and circle printed all over it. 🤣 Now that makes me wonder if there are symbols printed all over that limited edition controller I have."
Another added: "I pride myself on my observation skills but this humbled me. good find! Always thought that controller had the most standard grip."
Someone else joked about Microsoft's Acquisition of Activision Blizzard King and concluded: "Xbox gets Call of Duty, Playstation gets alphabet soup."

Not everyone was impressed, as some pointed out this was part of the console's reveal trailer before its release in 2020. There were plenty of snide remakes about 'bro' being four years late to the party, although the thread proves there were still a lot of people who didn't know about this hidden Easter egg.
Each DualSense controller has a whopping 40,000 symbols on its underside, giving us one of the best gaming Easter eggs we've seen.
Apparently it's not just on the controllers, with the inside of the PS5's faceplates also being etched with its iconic symbols.

We're used to tiny Easter eggs, but one being so small that you literally can't see it is a new one for us.
Now you know that when your palms get drenched trying to beat Promised Consort Radahn in Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, you're sweating into a piece of gaming history.
