The first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI has finally been released to the world.
The teaser comes a day earlier than anticipated, as Rockstar Games - the company behind the GTA franchise - experienced a leak.
"Our trailer has leaked so please watch the real thing on YouTube," the company wrote on Twitter, with a link to the trailer.
The game is 10 years in the making and fans are already going wild for it - within nine hours of its debut, the video was number one on YouTube's trending list and had over 48.5 million views.

It finally gives us a taste of what the game will be about - it's set in the state of Leonida, focusing on Vice City - amped-up versions of Florida and Miami.
It's not the first time the game has been set in Vice City, which was debuted in the 2002 edition.
And while many of the things you'd come to expect from GTA are included in the trailer - fast cars, shoot-outs and a whole lot of drama - plenty feels new.
The trailer is narrated by Lucia, who appears to be the franchise's first female protagonist. She starts the trailer in the orange outfit of someone who is incarcerated, and later looks to be on the run with a male partner, fuelling the speculation there's a Bonnie and Clyde angle to their partnership.

They're accompanied by suitable amounts of chaos around Vice City - including flipped over cars and alligators walking into shops - all to the musical backdrop of Love is a Long Road by Tom Petty.
“Grand Theft Auto VI continues our efforts to push the limits of what’s possible in highly immersive, story-driven open-world experiences,” said founder of Rockstar Games Sam Houser on the release of the trailer, which marked the company's 25th anniversary.
“We’re thrilled to be able to share this new vision with players everywhere.”

The bad news? Fans will have a bit of a wait before they'll actually be able to play the game - the trailer revealed it would be released in 2025.
And Rockstar Games confirmed that on the game's release, only people with newer consoles will initially be able to play it - on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Still, the comments on the YouTube video were full of excitement and praise for our first glimpse at GTA VI.

And one commenter wrote: "I dont believe it, we've waited ten years for this amazing moment. It's gonna be crazy man."
