Elon Musk is now technically the top Diablo 4 player in the world after clearing toughest challenge in 'insane' time

The tech mogul has become a true dungeon master

Elon Musk has claimed another major achievement in his career, as he's technically become the top Diablo 4 player after clearing it's hardest challenge in an 'insane' time.

Somehow the world's richest man has been able to find time in-between running X (formerly Twitter), SpaceX, Tesla, and even new government agency DOGE to play Diablo 4 - breaking quite a significant record in the process.

Elon Musk has never shied away from sharing his passion for gaming, and while that has at times left him ridiculed for some rather odd build choices in the past, this recent achievement is something you certainly can't deny.

While the tech mogul is known for his countless fights on social media, he's now taken the battle to the dungeons of Diablo 4, where he has been able to clear the Artificer's Pit in record time.

The Artificer's Pit, specifically level 150, is where the game ranks its top players, as shown on helltides.com.

Musk's clear time of 1 minute and 52 seconds - which he has posted to X as proof - would sit above the current world record time of 1:59, held by 'Resistance', if it's accepted by the rankings.

His previous time isn't too shabby either, as a past completion of 2:45 has allowed him to earn #44 on the rankings, but this new time blows that out of the water.

In his post on X, Musk states: "So many life lessons to be learned from speedrunning video games on max difficulty. Teaches you to see the matrix, rather than simply exist in the matrix."

Like many of the other top players, Musk used the currently-bugged Quill Volley Spiritborn, which allows players to output significantly higher damage than anything else in the game right now.

People on social media still aren't convinced of this feat though, as one post on the r/diablo subreddit has many detractors.

"The best player," one commenter proposes, "or the one who can buy the best items with his infinite money?"

Another argues that they "don't believe it, especially after seeing how messed up his build was on Elden Ring."

There is an overriding belief that it's impossible for the account to be fully controlled by the multi-billionaire though, as according to one user it would require "10+ hours of playtime every day since the season began," which would be seemingly impossible for someone with as many responsibilities as Musk.

While Elon did give his top podcast recommendations while on the stream, the lack of a camera - especially while as the record was achieved - does lead some to remain skeptical.
