London-based tech company Nothing has just launched two brand-new earbuds.
Both the Nothing Ear and the more budget-friendly Nothing Ear (a) are available to buy and boast an innovative new feature: the first-ever integration with ChatGPT.
Users can directly speak to the AI chatbot by pinching the earbud and asking it anything from directions to random queries.

The responses can then be heard through the earbuds.
From the onset, the company has said it aims to 'enhance its overall user experience with industry-first ChatGPT integrations in its audio and smartphone products.'
This development allows the company to 'advance consumer tech products’ transition to AI, as well as simplify and enhance the user experience.'

With OpenAI's latest GPT-4o model giving ChatGPT voice capabilities - and in real-time - the feature will come in handy if you regularly use the AI model for translations, study help and more.
Additionally, Nothing is introducing new features on its phone models.
These include widgets which make it easy to talk to ChatGPT on the handsets as well as the ability to send screenshots and text directly to ChatGPT via shortcuts.
Nothing confirmed in an X post that ChatGPT integration will be available across the following devices:
- Nothing Ear 1
- Nothing Ear Stick
- Nothing Ear 2
- CMF Buds
- CMF Neckband Pro
- CMF Buds Pro

Although the Bluetooth new earbuds will work with any iPhone or Android phone, the AI feature is only currently available on the premium Nothing Phone (2) with the latest software. It probably goes without saying but you also need an internet connection for the feature to work.
The premium Nothing Phone (1) and newer, more affordable model, Nothing Phone (2a) will need to wait for a software update to access it, which Nothing saying it's 'coming soon.'
Nothing's Ear currently costs £129 ($149), while Ear (a) is £99 as well as $99 in the US.
Both pairs offer active noise-cancelling - a rare feature at these price points.

The more expensive Ear comes with a wireless charging case and a function to create a personal sound profile.
Both pairs are available in black and white.
Whereas, the Nothing Ear (a) also comes in a more eye-catching yellow finish.
