People are amazed at the level of job skill

Not all crew members get the recognition they deserve.

While the spotlight often shines on the front-line talent, the behind-the-scenes crew usually go unappreciated.

But one cameraman’s impressive skills highlight just how much expertise and skill goes into their work.

The 20-second clip shared on Reddit shows the cameraman's point of view as he films an NBA All Star competition.

The camera setup is pretty complex too, with dual screens and a zoom knob, allowing the operator to track the ball with precision.

But what's truly impressive is effortlessly the cameraman follows the ball from the player’s hands to the hoop. He can seamlessly track the ball mid-air as the players make shots.

The clip was shared on the subreddit r/Damnthatsinteresting where it received over 70,000 upvotes and 1,000 comments from amazed viewers.

Although the original post was taken down by the owner, the comments still remain.

'Imagine doing this for several hours straight,' the first user wrote. 'Exhausting to even thing about it. Kudos to all these camera people who make watching sports enjoyable.'

A second user replied: 'Am I the only one who hates the extreme zoom on the ball every time it goes up? They do this in many sports now and it's totally unnecessary.

'Impressive skills by the camera operator though.'

Some viewers praised the Live Sports camera operators as 'legendary' who have 'remarkable talent and skills' needed to handle zooming, focusing, and live broadcasting all at once. Not to mention that hundreds or thousands of people are watching, so the ability to perform well under pressure helps.

Another user pointed out: 'Worst job to be hungover' with all the spinning, quite dizzy angles.

Others claimed that the sports camera ops don't get 'nearly enough credit for their mad skills' as the one used for football games is reportedly a two-person job.

One user even asked how much a camera like that costs and it's certainly not cheap for what it does.

With the lens, body, and accessories, one user estimates that it totals over $300,000.

'The camera alone is about 70k, that's a 220k dollar lens, there's probably another 50k in the accessories like the stand, controlls, monitors and sound capture,' they added.
