It's been out for less than a week, but the Apple Vision Pro has already taken the world by storm.
This new augmented-reality headset from Apple has been years in the making, and has already spawned countless reviews and viral videos of it being used out and about.
Riding that wave of interest is popular YouTuber Casey Neistat, who became massively famous a few years ago for his now-finished daily vlog series, filmed inventively and with a charming homemade quality.
He's got his hands on a Vision Pro, and the review he's uploaded is unlike almost any of the others you might happen upon.

For one thing, it's almost entirely free of tech specs or explanations of how the miraculous-sounding headset actually works, focusing way more on what it's like to use and how futuristic it feels.
Rather than sitting in his apartment, Neistat takes the headset out and about in New York City, seeing what he can do with it strapped to his face.
This means struggling with its object tracking on a moving subway cart, drawing attention while walking around a bustling Times Square, and even successfully ordering and eating a donut while watching a 3D dinosaur show.
Neistat's review is titled around 'the thing no one will say' about the headset, and if you go in waiting for that one thing you might be a little disappointed - it's more that the video is a succession of ways that other people won't test the headset.

Still, he does close the video by arguing that the Vision Pro feels like the future of all computer interfacing, even if it currently feels a bit heavy and is priced at a point where most people cannot afford it.
He also makes the elegant point that this model of the Vision Pro will be the worst version that Apple ever makes - every subsequent model and revision will get better, slimmer, lighter and faster, meaning it will likely improve drastically over time.
That process has been proven time and again, and you only have to look at the first versions of the Oculus Quest compared the newest Meta Quest 3 to see how far a product can be refined when given the time and investment - and that's something we're pretty sure Apple will dedicate to the Vision Pro.
