Apple's iPhone calculator may seem like just a basic tool, but there's more features that you'd first suspect!

iPhones come have a wealth of features from battery savers to hidden features that enhance the smartphone's camera accuracy.

But many users don't realise they're not using the full extent of the iPhone's calculator, so we've listed a few hacks to make your maths easier.

Or just a fun party trick to show your friends!

This one's for those that no longer use that block of a scientific calculator. By turning the smartphone on its side with the Calculator app open, it switches it into a scientific calculator with extra functions.

You just need to make sure your screen rotation feature isn't locked in order to do so.

If you still can't find what you're looking for, you can click the '2nd' button to reveal more options for logarithmic and trigonometric functions.

And don't worry if you've already started doing your calculation, switching the type of calculator won't affect what you've inputted already.

So during a long calculation, you make a silly mistake. You sigh in frustration, knowing you’ll have to delete the whole thing by clicking 'C' and start again.

What if I told you there's a way to delete your mistakes without erasing the whole thing?

Unbeknownst to most users, this handy hack allows iPhone users to delete individual numbers - so your efforts are no longer wasted!

By swiping left or right across the number display - it doesn't matter which - you can move you finger across the display to delete the unwanted digit.

You can even swipe multiple times to get rid of multiple digits.

Another handy feature you may not know is that you can copy your last result or calculation without needing to go into the calculator app.

On your app screen, Apple users can hold down the Calculator app and an icon will appear with the option to copy your last figure. Such a time saver!

If you're doing any number games with your friends, your iPhone can help with this too!

By tapping the 'Rand' button on the bottom right hand side, a random number will be generated - perfect for those drinking games!

Finally, bonus tip. If you want to do a quick calculation, you don't have to even open up your calculator app.

If you open your search bar that you use for apps and use it type in the calculation, the answer will be instantly given.
