An iPhone user has issued a stark warning to anyone using the Calculator app.
The user hopes this will help others to avoid a huge embarrassment.
Sometimes we head to the secrecy of our Calculator app to make sure eight and seven still add up to 15.

It’s embarrassing but at least no nobody knows… right? Wrong.
It turns out that Apple is storing a list of our cringy calculations and one TikToker revealed how to access it.
In the post, they wrote: “Y’all please remember to clear your CALCULATOR history every once in a while. My boyfriend just saw mine and I would have rather him gone thru my internet history.”

This prompted other iPhones users to check their own calculator history and many took to the TikTok comment section to share their reactions.
One user wrote: “Lmao mine says 250-50.”
Another said: “Nah why I got 35-1 in mine.”
A third person commented: “1×10…it was a difficult day!”

And a fourth user added: “You just have to make sure that nobody changed math sometimes.”
If you want to check your own history on the Calculator app, your iPhone will need to be running iOS 18 so you might want to update your device to find it.
Once your phone is up to date, head to the Calculator app and click on the icon in the top left hand corner.

From there, you’ll be able to see a list of your previous calculations broken down into categories such as today, the previous seven days and the previous 30 days.
You’ll also have the ability to reload the calculations in the list, copy the answer and delete the calculation.
If you’re feeling embarrassed, you do have the option to delete all of them, you’ll just need to click ‘edit’ in the top right hand corner of the main history menu.
From there, you’ll be able to delete them from the history by selecting ‘delete all’ on the bottom of the screen.

This will save any further embarrassment of someone seeing the calculations.
Fear not though, this isn’t a never ending list of simple math - the history automatically deletes anything older than 30 days so it only shows the most recent calculations you have inputted into your smartphone.
If in doubt, maybe it’s time to make a return to a basic handheld calculator - at least it won’t keep track of how many times you’ve written 9+7!
