Man shares iPhone ‘tricks’ so handy they leave people convinced they don't know how to use their phones

Man shares iPhone ‘tricks’ so handy they leave people convinced they don't know how to use their phones

These tricks come thick and very fast, and they're really useful.

The iPhone, like so many other bits of tech that we use every day, hides plenty of little features that you might not have ever realized were there.

From tiny little tweaks to significant time-savers that could completely change how you use your phone, these are always worth investigating, so it's no surprise that tips videos often go viral.

One such video from TikTok user @appledsign has spread like wildfire this week after being cross-posted to X (formerly Twitter), attracting over 1.7 million views so far.

The short video moves really quickly to reel through a bunch of useful little features, starting by reminding people that they can move apps around on their home screen more quickly than they might think.

If you drag an app's icon over another app, keep your finger held down, and then tap on other apps around your display, they'll all be added to a stack that you can then move around. When you release it, all the apps will flow out onto that screen.

From there, the video moves on to a feature that works in quite a few of Apple's own apps - if you want to undo an action like deleting an email or a message, all you have to do is shake your iPhone.

It won't always work, so don't necessarily rely on it completely, but it's a handy way to undo certain actions really quickly.

Next, he shows how you can use stickers in Messages - and that you can stack stickers on top of each other. Not only that, but it reveals how to make a sticker from a selfie or any other photo you've taken.

Finally, he shows how to take a full-page screenshot of a webpage by using the normal screenshot buttons (Volume Up and Power at the same time), then tapping on your screenshot and choosing 'Full Page' instead of 'Screen' at the top of it.

These tips are all nice and succinct, and people can't believe how useful they are in the comment section. One person said: "Seems like I don’t know how to use my iPhone", while another agreed: "Pretty sure I use my iPhone to about 3% of its capability and I couldn’t care less".

Interestingly, there are also loads of people under the post asking for an equivalent video about Android features for their own phones - something that they're extremely unlikely to get from this creator, since Apple is literally in his handle.

Still, it's fair to say that Android phones have their own share of hidden features too, so they'll have to do some digging to find tips videos of their own.
