There are plenty unscrupulous companies out there, but surely one of the biggest in the world wouldn't lie to us...would it? As part of the 'Big Five', Apple is up there alongside Amazon, Alphabet (Google), Meta (Facebook), and Microsoft.

While the legacy of Steve Jobs lives on at Apple, the tech giant has evolved far beyond the turtleneck-wearing genius' humble start. Although Jobs was there to reveal the very first iPhone in 2007, the range has continued to expand on a yearly basis. Even as we settle in for the long-awaited reveal of the iPhone 17, there's already talk about the iPhone 18 and potential future of foldable phones.

When it comes to revealing the supposed secrets Apple might not want you to know, ex-Apple employee Tyler Morgan is back to tell us more. Having already busted myths about charging your phone to 100% and explaining why you shouldn't buy an iPhone right now, Morgan is back to claim that Apple is 'lying' to us.

Posting on TikTok, the tech expert says that you should look out when taking videos on your phone.

Don't worry, it's not your Samsung's fault (Samsung)

Morgan says: "When you're uploading things on TikTok, on Instagram, whatever, anything you upload obviously gets compressed, but also it is made for iPhone with support for iPhone."

"That's why pictures look better on iPhone, that's why your feed looks a little more aesthetically pleasing and more colorful."

He went on to explain that TikTok videos load in higher quality, and to prove his point, he went on to hold and iPhone side-by-side with a Samsung to show off a video that was taken on iPhone.

Morgan reminded us: "Don't be fooled that your Samsung phone is terrible, the video quality is awful, it's not. It's just really compressed.

It's not your phone, it's what you're posting on, and sometimes, it's your screen."

He concludes by saying: "It's f**ked up, man."

Others in the replies were equally shocked, with one angry user writing: "Social media has always been, and will always be for iPhones."

Another complained: "This comparison is spot on. The camera quality really speaks for itself."

A third grumbled: "Yoo!! I've used iPhone for the longest time but I'm getting tired of this Apple propaganda. What budget-friendly Android would you suggest?"

The TikTok algorithm automatically compresses videos in order to make them load easier and faster on mobile devices, but it looks like could be Samsung users losing out here.

Whether we'd necessarily say that Apple is lying to us is another matter, but in terms of not trusting the quality of your Samsung, you might want to rethink it.
